I got my whole knob off and now the little stick on the inside of the metal rod isnt connected or something else is wrong but now i cant shift at all

Hello, I don't have that panel that covers the shifters gap, and my earbud fell in, how do I retrieve it?

If it fell into the inner console, you may need to remove the kick panels. Slide each seat all the way back and it will reveal a Torx screw. Remove the screw and pull down on the panel and it should slide out and reveal the inside of the console. There are a few videos on KZbin of Saab 9-3 ISM (Ignition Switch Module) replacement, and those videos will better show how to disassemble the console this way.
