Saab 93 Fuel Cap Stuck / Will Not Open - Manual Fix

This is for the Saab 93 2008 edition which does not have a pull lever for the Fuel Cap by the driver or an emergency pull handle / lever in the boot of the car.
This is a quick manual fix for when the Fuel Cap pin lock mechanism gets stuck and will not open.

There are two screws in the boot, right behind the fuel cap area, you need to loosen them and move a bit up. That's what it says in the manual. Hope this helps :)

I have the same issue I'm sure it's the OB1 module under the seat I'll confirm once I've swapped that out with a new one

If this pin isnt retracting & not sealing it correctly could this cause a CEL to come on?

Hi bro I have the exactly same problem as you do in the video. And I don't have better solution than using the long screw driver. Kind of embarrassed every time I went to gas station. Have you solved it now?

Try to lubricate the pin by using oil or wd40
