Ans: In the Province. 6.Have you been outside the Country? Ans: Yes. 7.Where? Ans: Singapore, HK, Bali Indo, Taiwan...mostly asia. Consul: Congrats your visa is approved you'll get it in 7days. My take on this. *1. Since you earn well, might have been better to mention that you will be staying in an airbnb or hotel. This will show the consul of your financial capacity to travel and will match the income you have indicated. Kasi parang sasabihin nya they earn well but cannot afford to stay in a hotel. *2. When asked about your income. Always say at the end, I have documents here with me to prove our income. *you are giving her the idea that you earn that well, you can prove it and pwede nya hingin. *3. When asked about how long will you be staying in the US. You should have mentioned 2 weeks only because we cannot take leave for so long because of our business. This will give the consul the thought that you will really comeback as your business depends on you = ties and rootedness *4. When asked about your previous job as a nurse. Never mentioned na you haven't really practiced it. Just say something more on your business or being a vlogger. Something like: I am a registered Nurse but over the years my blog/YT channel has helped my family so much that I was able to buy or build our own house, saved money, travel abroad and established our own business. I would love to practice being a nurse but blogging has given me financial freedom and more time with my family that's why I have chosen not to practice it and we're happy to help and employ 16 employees. *you are stressing na malaki earnings nyo with blogging and you cant leave your family thats why abroad is never an option = ties and rootedness *5. When asked about your travels. Stress the countries that you have travelled with the family to highlight your capacity to finance the trip. Regarding Maldives, it was a chance to say about your financial capacity. Mention about Maldives in your travel list just like the US or about the birthday gift. Baka the consul also thought "beach" in Maldives and "disneyland" in California don't really blend well. Why Maldives? It was a bday gift and also one of our bucketlist. A lot of filipinos would love to visit but only few can afford that is why we want to visit it and experience some luxury for the Family. Iisipin nya may pera nga sila. *6. Consul usually asked 2 things about family. 1st about immediate family meaning children, husband, siblings or parents. If none, say no. 2nd about relatives. This is very tricky. Consul usually think that each Filipino has a relative abroad. You can say yes. But if they asked more questions like name or place or work. Honestly say anything you know. Like, I know she/he lives in blah2x but dont know more information. And we do not have plans to visit him/her as our time is very limited for this travel. *you are stressing that the purpose is not to visit your relatives. *7. Follow-up nya why not work abroad? Say like: Even as a nurse I dont really have plans to work abroad because of my family and eventually I earned even more than people working abroad. *stressing again na you earn well and that you dont want to leave your family = ties and rootedness

We also applied for US Tourist Visa last 2018 the main reason we wanted to go there is that because my Grandfather passed away and my Grandmum were all alone so we thought we could pick her up from NY to get her home here in the Philippines. We had every bank statement, letter from the nursing home and the hospital. My Grandmother also made a letter stating that in order for her to come back here in the Philippines she would need us to pick her up. She sent us every document needed to prove to the embassy that we wouldn’t stay there for long. So the day came, we were interviewed by this guy. We handed him all the documents including personal letter and id's from my Grandmother. But he didn’t even bother to read a line or two. So fast forward we tried again and unfortunately we didn’t pass. My grandmother passed away all alone in the nursing home last summer. And not to mention the amount we had to pay. It was a dream for me to come to the US and meet my Grandparents. But shame on the US embassy hell, shame on the US Government for making it so hard for us to enter their country. While there are loads of Americans in the Philippines being treated as Kings and Queens.

Ang daming tanong. I applied for a US Visa in 2008, two questions lang ata. Yes, you are correct. The amount of money you have and the properties you own doesn’t matter. When I applied, I was in my early 20s. I only have $100 in my bank account. Wala din akong properties. The whole interview, the consul probably just looked at me twice. Most of time, she was looking at her computer. My answers were short. My sister and her kids applied three ago ata, she was denied the first time. After a few months, she tried again and they were granted the second time around. I think they are stricter now because of the current POTUS. Try applying after a few months and be confident with your answers. It is always good to come prepared pero don’t worry so much about practicing. Think about the interview as if it’s just a Q&A here on YT para confident and natural ka. Good luck on your next try! Kaya yan! ❤️

I didn’t have any property like condo or car. I was just renting an apartment room. But I trusted God’s will and went. Also, prayers helped a lot 😊

Honesty has but one meaning. You cannot be “partially honest”. There is no “as much as possible” when we talk about honesty. You got denied simply because you were dishonest about some details and because you prioritized convenience over 100% transparency. And even in processing answers, do it on your own. Very important tip in US interview is to be natural & spontaneous. Just like any human being consuls are intimidated by "aires". Ayaw nila ng mayabang ang dating. It's not really about how much you can afford or how rich you are. Your information in the application is enough for the consul to be convinced. Wala na sila iba basehan, but on what your inputs are on the application. All the consul want now, is how you conduct the interview. Binabasa na body language mo when you walk into the counter. Be concise in your answers at hwag mahaba ang sagot. The most the consul will ask is 3 questions & they will decide kung approve ka. Kung sumobra sa 3 tanong, that will mean denial already.

In my opinion as someone who’s been granted a US visa (10 years multiple entry) Kailangan kasi you present proof that you will come back because you have a legitimate job that requires your physical presence in the Philippines, or you have real properties in the Philippines that you are taking care of. As a KZbinr, you can work anywhere in the world, you have no professional ties to the Philippines. Next time you apply, just say you are a big KZbinr and you want to start vlogging about other countries. It will show them na aalis ka din ng US eventually and will also remind them that hindi Lang sila ang bansang puwede mong ivlog.

Tip: The Consul wants to make sure that you are coming back home so they are looking for your strong ties in the Philippines like a stable job or business that won’t function without your presence. When they asked you why not just work abroad as a nurse, the best answer for me should be something like because you don’t want to leave the Philippines because of some strong reasons or ties as i’ve said, so they know you will be back. KZbinrs are known to be able to operate business anywhere so probably that’s a minus factor. Maybe you could have stressed about the importance of your retail business in the Philippines. Of course you should be confident, but not too confident like ‘mayabang’. Just be composed, honest and consistent. Just my two cents here. 😊

Nakakakaba talaga doon sa US Embassy.(I applied 2016) Just be honest and consistent lang talaga sa application. What is the purpose of your visit? Parang yung sagot ko was since I'll be going back to Canada I just want to have a Sidetrip to Seattle (parang chill lang pagka answer ko nito para hindi nya isipin na desperate ako sa US Visa nila) 2.)Are you staying in a hotel or hostel? (Dito hinuhuli nya ako if consistent ba ako sa application ko, Hostel nilagay ko)so I answered in a HOSTEL 3.)how many days? Sagot ko nilagyan ko ng "only" sabi ko for "7days only" 4.) Who is M.W.? nilagay kong relative sa USA. -my mom's first cousin 5.) Where are you working? 6.)What is your work? 7.) How many years? Dito inemphasize ko na "Turning 10 years next month" para additional strong ties since tourist visa xa so need nila assurance na you have a stable job sa Pinas and babalik ka talaga. 8.)What other countries have you travelled?(dito nafeel ko na patapos na ang interview kasi sa kababasa ko ng mg blog/thread ito usually ang last question. After that may sinabi na yung amerkanang consul na hindi ko naman naintindahan talaga hahaha.ang naintindihan ko lang we will send you your passport and kinuha na nya passport ko.(yehey! NO blue paper for me) Pagtalikod ko grabe iyak lang ako ng iyak pumunta muna ako ng CR at grabe ang iyak ko.(kadramahan) tears of JOY.and after 2 weeks I got my 10years Multiple Visa. When you apply next time, don’t say you’re staying with family or friends. Also, I suggest don’t bring your mom too. Go with your family lang muna. Regarding sa relatives, they asked you kung meron ka pictures of yout relatives sa US at saka kung ano ang complete address nila and telephone no.

Ok din na hindi magmemorize pero familiar lang sa questions and dapat genuine ang sagot Got mine approved on first try. Ten years agad. I just said i wanna go shopping and museums. I mentioned specific shopping areas and museums. After tanungin kung ilang weeks lang dun, sabi ko i need to come back for something then ayun na. Hi !!! I don't know how I came across your vlog, but I want to share my opinion oh why you may have been denied the tourist visa. I am also a Filipino, a registered nurse as well, and have been here in the US for 25 yrs. Just listening to the flow of conversation and the questions he/she was asking, I just want to share my opinion on the denial. So, the MOST IMPORTANT thing you really have to PROVE to them is YOU HAVE EVERY REASON TO "COME BACK HOME" and CANNOT LEAVE ANY OPEN ENDED ANSWERS why you could change your mind and decide to stay while you're here. 1. Business - is your business mostly managed online? Do you have a physical location to run your business at all? If it's all online based, there's no reason why you can't run your online business here as well. Provide evidence why your physical presence there is necessary for your business. 2. You're a nurse also. There's every reason why you may decide to stay here and not have any trouble finding a job as a nurse here. Not all hospitals, etc require the 3 yr experience to be able to work here. The nursing shortage here is so bad that they will hire anyone with no prior experience there and just train them after. Are you still licensed as a RN? If you can convince them that's not something you still want to do eventually, it shouldn't raise a red flag to them. 3. Income - you mentioned he/she acted surprised with your business income. If you make quite a bit with your business, then you can well afford to resettle and continue your online business here. I know that you're not going to be a financial burden to the US government for any kind of aid, but they have can say you're not being honest with your application as a tourist but have every means to migrate. 4. Who's coming to the US? If EVERYONE is coming, then there's no reason why you need to go back. Is your Dad not coming? I know your mom was with you for the interview. 5. And how long do you plan to stay? 2 weeks. Perhaps it sounded like you just wanted your foot in the door. I'm sure it did not come across very realistic to them. There's so much to see here 1 month is not enough. Plan for a 4-6 weeks stay. Land in New York and drive down to Florida. You have to see New York City, Washington, DC then Orlando and last stop in Miami. And lots of place to see besides those major destinations along the way.....Atlantic City, Myrtle Beach, Virginia Beach, Atlanta, Georgia, Savannah, Georgia, Charleston, South Carolina, etc. I went home last July and 3 weeks felt like it went by quickly. And you're right about them checking your social media accounts. I know there are companies here who checks potential candidates' social media and base it from there if you're hired or not. I don't know if I am helpful in any way, but I wish you guys the best of luck in your next application. Also, tell your kids, FORGET Disneyland. You need to go to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The Disney Park is way, way, way bigger. AND.... there's EPCOT Center with the Showcase of the World. AND Universal Studios.... with the new Harry Potter world. I haven't been yet. None of those in California. I am based in the East Coast and Orlando is just 9 hours drive from me. Good luck. It's not about how much you make and all. YOU HAVE TO PROVE YOU HAVE EVERY REASON TO GO BACK HOME.

You need to be honest whether its your 1st application or 10th try.Always remember they keep all the records from the beginning. They can track all the relatives you have if you put then on the application. Second, just answer straight & right to the point.The more maboka at paikot-ikot ka the more ma-deny ka.Third, about sa relatives stay the more they prefer if you're gonna be staying in a hotel/ vacation package itinerary not airbnb.Coz that gives them assurance that you wont be over staying in the US. Plus about sa business/job they prefer an answer that your business is worth enough for you to go back to the Phils. You need to tell them if they ask you how much you're making.They dont care if other applicants cant hear it. Remember, it's not there business( other applicants).The conversation is between you & the consul. The main point, the are preventing TNT. Lastly some consul can detect if you're lying, nervous or hiding something. Some consul get irritated if someone else is answering for you.Meaning king ikaw ang tinatanong, nobody else can answer. This are just some points that our lawyer taught me 10years ago when I as applied for visa.

I’m sorry to hear about your experience. With the help of a good (Filipino) friend, I understood most of what you were saying. A couple of tips: Even if it’s true, don’t tell the interviewer that you “really want to see Disneyland”. That’s pretty lame. There are several Disneylands around the world, including a few in Southeast Asia. In their minds, they will think - why not just visit the Disneyland that’s closer to Manila. It’s better to tell them something unique like wanting to experience and visit the many places in America that you have heard so much about - including Disney World. And if you plan on staying in hotels, it’s better to state that instead of “staying with relatives or friends”. But only if it’s true! They have been known to ask for proof of your hotel reservations. And if you know you’re nervous and are afraid the interviewer will notice, just smile and try not to act like you’re trying too hard. They know people get nervous but they don’t want to see someone who is completely rattled and incoherent. Practice being calm. And it’s okay to make eye contact. Just don’t stare! And be completely honest about everything. And remember, they want to be convinced that you are returning home!

Bilang dito ako naka-base sa US I think your HUGE mistake is yung pagsabi mo na that you will be staying at your friend's vacation home. Let me tell you why. Every countries wants to be a tourist destination. The more tourist they have the more money they generate. Ano ano bang mga means to skim out money from the Tourists? Hotels, restaurants, amusement parks, transport services, and souvenirs. You already eliminated the major one which is the Hotel, kaya nagduda sa yo if you can really afford travelling. The interviewer must have thought na ang friend mo ang gagastos sa yo and that idea made them decide to disapprove your visa, that's aside from your response when asked about your income. Also, kung hesitant kang sagutin ang tanong na about income dahil maraming nakakarinig, you should have asked the interviewer if it's ok kung ipapakita mo na lang ang documents kasi diba dala mo naman. Mas advantage yon sa yo kesa nagpakita ka ng facial look that made them doubtful of you. Anyway, good luck for next time!

I was granted a ten-year visa almost three years ago, I was unemployed that time. I was accompanied by my dad (who currently holds a us visa) and sisters. The American at the counter asked the same questions. We also practiced our answers. I remembered we showed no anxiousness but excitement. I was asked what was my present occupation, instead of saying none, i said i just graduated last tuesday and if i will come back to the philippines. I also said yes at that time because i needed to take my licensure exams on september. We enumerated the countries we've been to and kung saan kami matutulog. We said we were to stay at a relative's house and my parents were to fund my expenses since I was unemployed. When the lady asked my dad what was our purpose for visiting, he simply said "Disneyland". I think she was mildly entertained, then told us that we get our 10 year visa. No formal attire here, just pants, sandals and blouse; the important key is not to say a lot of things, just a word or phrase. Makukuha mo din yan, mama anne, dont worry.

The consul went on with questions like: why do uou want to go to US, who are in the US, Am i single? Why? And why? I guess natuwa si consul sakin kasi tlgang lahat inamin ko hahaha pati sexuality and relationships stuffs.

Prior to coming for your interview, you're being checked (yung background mo, family, pati relatives abroad, and businesses and stuff) so may verdict na yan sila sayo. If you state the length of your stay po, tell them after na kailangan kayo bumalik sa Pilipinas kasi may business, etc. Kumbaga, walang reason for you to stay longer kasi andito yung buhay mo sa Pilipinas. Bihira sila kumuha ng documents talaga. As in pure interview sila kasi na-background check ka na nila bago ka pa dumating. Better luck next time po, and just be honest, real and straight to the point.

Hello there, as a Filipino who has been living in the U.S. for the last 20 years, I just wanted to share some things that might have raised red flags on your part when interviewing for a U.S. visa. First, if the consul sees that you are a little bit jittery and nervous, this will present to the consul that you are nervous, which could translate that you might be lying. Of course if you had done your homework, you should NEVER underestimate the US Embassy for obvious reasons. They usually research the applicant first days before you actually go there for an interview. I suspect that your reported annual income, the fact that you have to do a KZbin vlog as added income, your retired mom, the fact that you are staying with a friend during your vacation, your indecisiveness as to how long you're going for vacation, and the fact that you're an RN in the Philippines who could not practice your own profession ALL contributed to your being denied. I am glad though that you have not waivered and hopefully, try applying again. Good luck! p.s. Just my personal opinion, with you divulging all the details of your denial in a public KZbin vlog may not help your case. Remember, big brother is ALWAYS watching.

Its not about income or numbers, i think it in the manner that you are giving your answers. You really have to answer directly and right away, kiber ka na sa mga nakakaririnig kung mag kano ang income mo. Dahil kiber din yang nagtatanong sa yo. They do not care who have heard your answers. mommy anne, kung ano po yung nasa application nyo ayun din po dapat yung sagot mo, straight to the point, honesty and eye to eye contact, no doubt, dapat. mahigpit ang US pero prayer lang mama anne, ma aaproved din po kayo.

As you said, di nmn ganun ka importante why you applied and want to go to the US. Maybe, this is a sign na you must prioritize things first, be contented on what you have and you have already went.

during my time i just established a good conversation with the Consul. body gesture is indeed important. when my passport was mutilated nag apply ako ulet and same kaba even if twice na ako nakapunta. but just be honest, calm and answerr clearly with conviction

There are 5 things I think yung mga reasons why you got denied: 1. Disneyland - Baka naisip nung consular officer, if your kids wanted to go to Disneyland then bakit sa US pa? There are 3 Disneyland parks here in Asia (HK, Tokyo, Shanghai) and yung isa dun, visa-free pa. Why not go there? 2. If you assumed na maikli yung mga answers mo, actually, mahaba yung mga answers mo sa mga questions nung consular officer (i.e., yung where will you stay - ang haba nung explanation na may family friend ka who has a vacation house. You could've just answered, California. Period. The question about your business, ang haba nung sagot. Yung why Maldives? Ang haba nung sagot. I think the answer could have been if you answered, we celebrated my daughter's birthday. Period. Yung beaches kasi iisipin pa ng consular officer, kung gusto nyo ng beaches bakit di nalang kayo mag-Boracay, El Nido, etc.) 3. Yung body language mo when you were interviewed. It gave off an iffy vibe dun sa consular officer na parang kinakabahan ka and may tinatago ka from them. 4. Yung inconsistencies dun sa declaration whether or not you have family members/relatives in the US. Super laking factor nya sa pagpasa mo sa US visa application.

Overthinking, over rationalizing leads to... spontaneous lang po sana Mama Anne.

Alm nila kung memorized ba or sincere yung pagsagot.

Wag mashado over confident.. relax lang.. mas ok kung sa hotel magstay kesa sa bahay ng family friend, or relatives.. kse may capacity ka naman to pay for hotel accomodation.. wag mashado maraming sinasabe.. or mashadong maraming explanation.. straight forward answers dapat.. also, ung length of stay kailangan exact..pate ung list of places na gusto puntahan na pasok for the length of stay.. and yes dapat consistent ang nasa application form sa mga actual na sagot.. I got 10yrs visa and less than 3 mins lang interview ko.. questions lang to me were, where do i work, how much do i earn (walang elaboration), where will i stay (nabingi pako nung tinanong ako, inulet pa ng consul) and if i already have children.. (mejo natawa pa ko nung sumagot ako kse wala pa at that time) yan lang.. then approved na.. Travel muna kayo sa other visa countries mama ann.. it helps.. like japan, europe.. 😊

"I FEEL DEMORALIZED" Tama ka because yan din ang naramdaman ko/namin after we were denied.
@misss.78635 жыл бұрын
I have experienced the feelings of getting approved (1st application) and denied (2nd application). Syempre, happy noong na-approved, not just because of the certainty of going to the US, but also because hindi nasayang yung perang binayad for the interview. Nakaka-demoralize at nakakalungkot pag na-deny, hindi lang dahil nasayang ang binayad, pero dahil the consul made me feel not good enough to go to the US again despite not violating my previous visa.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO COME TO THE UNITED STATES??? Your answer: TO SEE THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE. NEVER say that you are going to visit and stay with relatives.
@almarion19075 жыл бұрын
my friend answered this question with " I want to see Disneyland ".... hahahahahaha, approved ang VISA multiple entry.. the consul just smiled at her. Her passport was mailed to her after 2 weeks.
@kitteh47085 жыл бұрын
Not entirely true. Since I mentioned in my interview that I will visit my relatives and I got approved on my first try. But you do need to make the consul know that you will go to the US to spend money by shopping and sight-seeing. Be sure to do a little research on the areas you want to visit and maybe mention that too.
