...about 40 years ago I did that walk in the opposite direction for the first time, the (then massive) glacier nearly reached the bridge where you could cross the end of the Gletschersee to go up to Spielboden, you would be walking alongside it from about the 9 minute point in your video...

Hi Saleem, I stayed at Wellness Hostel 4000, which I believe is the only hostel in Saas-Fee. It’s modern and surprisingly luxurious, with a spa on the property!
