What is Data Filtration in ServiceNow?
Data Filtration is used to control read query access of tables and records.
It is applied when user perform any read queries in the platform. It is a separate form of access control designed to work along with the existing ACL in ServiceNow Platform which is another feature to control access in the platform. Data filtration denies access to tables and records that do not match subject attributes defined in the rules. Data filtration is designed to make auditing, reporting, and troubleshooting easier.
