One good thing about a rebuild is you find out which screws you didn't Loctite the first time around.😉

Sorry about your crash. I once had my 570 eat the transmission because I forgot to Loctite the main shaft bearing bolts. Hope you rebuild it soon.

Shaft radish bolts weren't processed? In the case of the squall motor, there was no shaft processing. I'll look forward to a great flight after the repairs are completed.

I'm sorry for your crash sir. It sounded like you overstretched the transmission and a nut or screw that wasn't loctited properly gave way under high load ? Or possibly your belts came off, again due to screws or bolts not being loctited properly ? It's an awful feeling when your precious expensive Heli smashes into the ground. I've had many crashes myself over the years, and it's always a horrible feeling when you crash.

It happens. Could have been much worse. For repairs, I see: main blades, landing gear, and a sideframe. Damage to canopy is cosmetic. Not bad at all for such a crash. That sure is a quality heli. Was Anything else broken that I missed?
@OliveiraX2 жыл бұрын
What I understood from your description was: this was caused because you were using a standard motor, with a 20mm shaft, just shy of the minimum 26mm recommended. Am I right?

Hi Buddy yes was a while ago , the screw that goes into the motor shaft was not lock decently if i recall that the shaft was a bit short so the grub screw did not lock into the grove ,, and so we learn

Neglect good building habits and helicopter will make you pay. That was a god awful reflexes too, made the crash way worse. Couldve kept it inverted, did an mini inverted auto and flared over the ground and set it down on the head with low headspeed. Done it myself before with no crash damage except a head linkage.

@OliveiraX2 жыл бұрын
Motor pulley came loose. Hence, suddenly, no power at all. Inevitable crash. As for your first build, use loctite in all metal-to-metal screws/bolts.
