Hello Jeff, Nice heli and you have to love those long flight times. I just finished building and setting up my RS4 today but the weather is lousy and will have to wait for better conditions to maiden it.. I set mine up more docile because I am new to heli's. I have about 90-100 flights on S2 which I really love still with the original blades that still look new. I needed something bigger for my aging eyes. Your videos on this model and flb setup was a tremendous help which I greatly appreciate. I used the same pitch gauge you recommended and it worked beautifully. The wiring is a mess and I am going to purchase the crimping tools that you recommended on your video to clean up this unsightly mess of wires. 👍👍🧙‍♂

@@westhobbiesrc8051 Update: I maiden it today although it was windy it was rock solid near the ground and when I went aloof the wind push it around a bit but nothing that I could not handle. I sent it up exactly the way you did in the video and everything was perfect! I couldn't be happier and I say that the bigger the bird, the easier it is to fly. I love this bird. Thank you again for all your hard work and sharing of your knowledge. Your videos are the best on KZbin for clear explanation and thorough examination of the process. 👍👍🧙‍♂

Biggest problem is I’m filming with a GoPro. It’s very hard to get perfect video with out a good camera and camera person but hopefully one day!

Have you ever had Torq servos only move a tiny amount like a quarter inch? Im building a new heli karken 580 with all new parts and all 4 servos will barely move. If i plug in an old servo i have to the same channel it works fine.

It sounds like you don’t have the right servo HZ and Frequency selected inside of the FBL unit.

How do flight times and performance compare to electric helis? And do the battery packs last for the full tank?

Flight times are much longer per tank per VS per Lipo. So on the Kraken 580 electric on a 6s 5000mAh I get 5 minutes of flight time. The nitro 580 I get 11 minutes per tank. The flight pack lipo witch is a 2s 2250mAh will give me 4 11 minute flights per charge. I have three 2s 2250mAh so I can fly 12 flights with out recharging. Of course the electric has more power but the nitro is lighter and feels roughly the same.
