I absolutely love this map, the verticality, the flank routes, the urban CQC moments, you could really have a lot of fun with this map once you figured its layout out. Night and day compared to what DICE has recently churned out. Maps had variety and flavour to them. you can tell with this game they really tried to give you decent variation in playstyles , clever maps like this and Zavod, large scale vehicle orientated maps, different blends like Shanghai and dawnbreaker, lockers for your meatgrind . Looking at 2042 its " Golmud with a boat in the middle, Golmud with a boat in the middle pt.2 , Golmud in a park, Golmud in egypt with a wall going through it , Golmud in the snow " , I'm only kind of taking the piss here, but you get what I'm saying I'm sure lol

%100 agree with you, map design makes or breaks games. DICE can still redeem themselves with 2042 with future map releases though (and I hope they do).

i do feel, that overall combat balancing was the best in BFBC2. I never felt in that game to be pressured by some unkillable camping chopper or movement glitching AEK player gliding around. But gunplay definately best in BF4

I think either BFBC2 or BF3 was peak modern day DICE studios work. Things will never be the same again. Battlefield franchise died for me after BF4.
