Can't believe I slept on my big bro Sabac Red and am just now hearing this incredible track for the first time. Being a revolutionary mentality raised in Oakland CA Non Phix had a life changing affect on me when I first purchased TFIN back in 01 when I was living in. A group home in the Bay area . it was that particular LP along with Mos & Kweli Black Star & Reflection Eternal with Hi Tek that literally exploded the whole underground hip hop scene to me as a kid and of course there was no looking back. living legends, defari and tha Liks, planet Asia, mobb deep n ALC , d block, g unit, liquid swords , OB4CL & Supreme clientele, as well as rawkus records sound bombing and the lyricist lounge records, the wake up show freestyle compilations with Dj revolution and Sway and KingTek, CompanyFlow finceusher plus fantastic damage from el p and def jux and of course Eminem and Canibud and Big Pun nas and jay z .and cuz of where in fron Mos def shout out e 40, cell ski, dru down , yykmouth and luniz, jacka and tha mob figaz, messy marv and San Quinn, andre nickatina , Mac dre and mac mall.. these were literally tge sounds and styles that I studied and held in thr highest esteem, they directly had a major impact on my own musical sound and artistry to this day . Sabac I know you had moved out here to Oakland I wish I had gotten up with you back then but I'll say it here and now, thanks for this track and sharing your distinct legendary voice with us nothing but major love for all that you and your Brooklyn boys did in the game during them thousands and late 90s man.
