I am from Delhi. Both the cities are beautiful. Shimla would probably be a two three days trip - Mall Road par ghoomna, khana, weather change, bahar ki surroundings change (peaceful). Kashmir has more places to visit. So, a proper trip and feel of visiting a place, a proper vacation honeymoon feel would come from there.
