Answer to everybody asking about the value of g yes it is 9.8 but here we have to put the value of centre of gravity of the metre rod which in this case is 50 cm. Centre of gravity is the point where the weight of an object is balanced and as you can see that metre rod is balanced on the wedge and the wedge is placed under 50 cm point of the metre rod Hope it helps....
