Do you use any knuckle guards? I had surgery so haven’t been able to use mine yet but I’ve never used a glove as compact as this and I don’t like the feel of knuckle guards at all.

Im glad someone finally did a review on these. I bought these awhile back. They actually had them in stock on their website in black and silver metallic, they sold out super fast but i was able to grab a 12oz pair. I used them for a few weeks. I thought they were pretty awesome. But a few weeks into use the lining on the inside by the fingers came undone and now i can feel the leather with my fingers. if that makes sense. Im pretty sad about it.

I have 3 pairs of Sabas, all 14OZ and they are not consistent in their quality control. 1 Supersoft stock gloves: left glove is bigger than right glove?! + synthetic piping. Should be leather piping for durability. 1 Pro Series Stock lace up: amazing gloves , only weak point is synthetic piping. 1 Pro Series Velcro Custom: Bigger hand compartement than my lace up pro series (big surprise because both are pro series), leather piping this time (good), but totally another feel than the lace up pro series because not the same hand compartement. So I have 3 pairs and they all feel different wich isn't supposed to be so

That’s because they use a cheap Pakistani manufacturer now. They are not made in Mexico now, regardless of what their website says.

There was a rumor that Sabas went to production in Pakistan or started using less than par materials. Any truth to that?

I’ve heard the same thing, we could make assumptions but unless you physically follow their shipment package in and see the waybill them I’m not one to start pointing fingers especially if I don’t have my facts straight. Not saying they are or aren’t, just giving my 2 cents. This is my first pair of “newer” sabas since my last customs I got 3 years ago. These current Bella’s say “hecho in Mexico” on the inside tag (as noted in video). I can also say that the Fight2Finish gloves I did a review on looked almost identical to the Sabas Pro Series in almost every way and were said to be made in Pakistan. If they are made in Pakistan then they should come clean about it.

They don't have a "Made in Mexico", or "Hecho en Mexico" label. So on that basis, yes they're most likely pakistan sourced.

Casanova gloves don’t have a hecho en Mexico tag either and I can almost guarantee those are Mexican made. Can’t just go based of a small tag.

I think mine is from Mexico I bought them 3 years ago.. maybe the smell of the leather is a good indication?? I don't know if the leather from Pakistan is the same as Mexican leather..

No worries, yeah you could use these for sparring. They’re not overly hard and have enough cushioning for protection for both you and your partner.

Thanks man! I wanted something simple but with some flair, figured the metallic silver would add that. That’s a hard question to answer, there’s a lot of gloves I like for various reasons. I’d probably say my favorite rotation is Fly, Sabas Pro Series, Winning, and Title Foam Channel Gloves. I find myself going back to these gloves more frequently than others.

They’re different from new sporting which are more like grant and have a better quality leather. With that being said I’ve heard their customer service has been bad lately so I’d stay away for now and spend your $$ elsewhere

Yes, most definitely a broken in feeling glove that allows you to open and close your hand pretty easily

How would you compare the sabas bellas to cleto reyes? I'm looking to upgrade from sabas proseries 16oz. to more of a punchers style glove. Also is amazon a legit source for cletos? Are there any online shops you would recommend for gear. Great review videos btw

Quality wise the Reyes are better, padding and comfort wise I’d give the Bella’s the advantage. The Bella’s are also more compact than both the Reyes and your Pro Series so keep that in mind the hand compartment will be smaller. They’re almost like a larger version of a fight glove. You can make an excellent fist with them and the feedback is great. Amazon is a legit source for Reyes gear, just make sure to get from a vendor that has a lot of good reviews. As far as online shops go, I purchase from all types and not just one specifically, I’ve purchased from Rival, Ringside, Title, Sabas, and some of the smaller boutique brands without any issues.

The consistency of the padding over the knuckles typically with softer padding to allow knuckles to pierce through. You typically sacrifice protection for this.

They're made in Sialkot Pakistan not in Mexico as they claim to be. Good glove but definitely not Mexican gloves. TERRIBLE HONESTLY, of them to continue to lie to the consumers
