As people have mentioned, this is a cover of a Motörhead song. The buss at the start is a nod to the live album no sleep til Hammersmith by Motörhead. The two guys standing in thr door opening at 5:03 are Mikkey Dee and Phil Campbell, the drummer and the guitarist of Motörhead. The picture at 5:08 is of Lemmy Kilmister, who was the bassist and singer of Motörhead. The guy holding it is Eddie Rocha who was the tour manager for Motörhead and the current one for Sabaton.

There are many Easter eggs hidden in the video. Most are from Sabaton songs or albums or historical figures. A good example is the vehicle that only had the driver but no passengers is paying tribute to Archduke, his wife and security guard who was assassinated which kicked off WW1. The woman coming out of the alley is Rosie the Riveter. The WW2 Americans on the beat fed machine gun is from their song called Screaming Eagles. Polish on horse with wings is from the song Winged Hussar. The Spartan is from the song Sparta. The bomber at the end is the British Lancaster bomber. I think the biplanes escorting the planes is probably Night Witches. The reason I believe is that because at the end of the war the USSR had a parade, but the Night Witches weren’t invited because, “The planes were just too slow.” It could be that they are swordfish but the opinions on it are different. The British officer with an eye patch is from the song Unkillable Soldier. Alvin York or Sgt York is in the background as well, from the song 82nd All The Way. Some of the African Americans/Black soldiers (again don’t know which one is correct to say so I put both. Are supposed to be the Harlem Hellfighters from the song Hellfighters (the story of the Hellfighters is amazing and sad due to how they were still mistreated). And much more that I could go on about.

Both my grandfather's fought in the First World War one of them wounded on the Somme, but I don't which year. The First World War (28 July 1914 - 11 November 1918), also known as the Great War quickly developed into a stalemate. The Battle of the Somme, also known as the Somme offensive, was only one major battle of the First World War fought by the armies of the British Empire and the French Third Republic against the German Empire. It took place between 1 July and 18 November 1916 on both sides of the upper reaches of the river Somme in France. The battle was intended to hasten a victory for the Allies. More than three million men fought in the battle, of whom more than one million were either wounded or killed, making it one of the deadliest battles in all of human history. The Western Front was almost 700 kilometers long stretching across Belgium and France. this battle was fought in one small part of it. The British forces were mainly volunteers a volunteer you had to be over 18 many lied about their age some as young as 15 joined up.

You noticed the soldiers walking away disappeared. I liked how the civilians stopped & the soldiers walked out in front of them & went forward (as they do). Then, disappeared (as some of them do). Yes - July 1, 1916 was truly the Dark Day of the British Army. Beyond the British Army & the Battle of the Somme, the video showed soldiers from different nations & conflicts thru history. I guess they're trying to tell us that soldier's stories & realities are similar (regardless of nationality, conflict or time). World War 1 was a meat grinder on the level that wld not be accepted by most societies today. Let's hope & pray my assumption is never put to the test!

Great reaction, and yes please, more Sabaton. yes, verh sad, the battle raged back and forth across a strip of ground not even 10 km wide, a milion soldiers where casualties. iIf every soldier was properly buried there, the graveyard for that part of the front would be larger than the actual piece of ground that was fought over.

@@favouriteislandgirl Yeah he was part of the group for some years, but he went solo - I think it was in the beginning of 2024. But this december, Tommy joined the band for the Sabaton cruise, so they are still friends :) There are some fan-videos of the cruise up here on youtube
