300 years ago, much respect to King Charles XII. Long live Carolus Rex. I can't help but think of how Charles XII would march his forces into Norway for one last push to restore their might with this, his final gamble. Maybe even at Poltava too.
@saxoDK_16002 жыл бұрын
Poltava was the final gamble, he was just lucky and strong in his will enough to continue the following years and to be allowed protection from the Ottomans

Did you plan to release this just because of the date when Charles died?

I just really like this song, but yes, partly because of that.

You know I just realized, the main melody of Ruina Imperii is very similar to Lion from the North, just obviously slower and more somber. Start and end of the Swedish empire?

The tracks are well-arranged, but the song as a whole needs depth. It's a nice piece, but it sounds flat instrumentation-wise.
@epicscores84213 жыл бұрын
Indeed. I'm learning as i go, i think its quite noticeable if you listen to my older covers and then new ones you can hear the difference, both in sound quality and arrangement. Im not a professional orchestrator, this is just a product of my love to music and music production, its a hobby! Thanks for listening!

@@epicscores8421 I wasn't assuming you were a professional composer, I was mainly stating my thoughts on the piece from as objective a view as I could manage.
