@@grizzlyb9984 cavalry perform an entirely different role. Their job is to be a rapid assault unit, deployed to flank the enemy or capture poorly guarded locations. Tanks do none of that. Their job, at least in WWI, is infantry support. They destroy gun installations and provide covering fire with their cannon and machine gun, and disable defenses like mines and barbed wire. Cavalry does none of that. If anything, tanks are more like chariots than cavalry, though chariots are still closer to cavalry than tanks. Edit: now that I think about it, I have figured out what the tank replaces on the battlefield. It's a modern version of a war elephant. A lot cheaper too!

I beg to differ as well. Legos are far too expensive to buy for kids to lose out in the yard. Further evidence is the LUGs, as there are over a thousand Lego User Groups in the U.S. alone and they all have only one rule: you must be 18 or older to join. In fact, Lego was going under in the early 1990s, they salvaged the company by revising their whole corporate strategy. One of the first things they did was stop marketing directly to children, who can't afford Legos anyway. Sales would peak around Christmas and then taper off for the rest of the year, so they essentially did away with their advertising budget except for pushing Legoland, realizing that Kids can't even get there without their parents taking them, which is why all Legoland parks have beer gardens and nice hotels and are surrounded by quality shopping, restaurants and gas stations. They began to diversify for the adult market by increasing development of sets which focus more on modeling, trains, Technix, electronic controls and deeper historical context like cowboys, castles and elaborate pirate ships. They later sealed the deal by getting into bed with highly successful production companies like Lucasfilm, Disney, Warner Bros. and Marvel Studios and effectively achieved an all-ages product in the process. On most sets beyond Duplo, they even took out age-ranges. The box doesn't say ages 5-10 anymore, it says 5+. A $1 share of Lego purchased in 1991-92 is now worth over $1,000,000 (I'm such an idiot, how did I not see that?!). Little kids don't dabble in the stock market, they don't have credit cards and they don't drive to the mall to buy a $400 Lego Death Star. Adults do. Legos remain the most precisely mass-produced product on the planet, with so low a tolerance that no machinist can achieve it by hand, no plastics manufacturer can duplicate it and NASA itself wishes they could make real spaceships out of the stuff. I don't see anything childish about any of that. But what do I know? I'm just an underdeveloped manchild who collects toys...

@@theguythatlikeslegos7708 That was false, the MK 1s were impervious to all gun-fire during the first battles except artillery, but most broke down due to terrible engine or environment, that was that, until the german troops used different tactics like reversing their bullet in the cartridge to do damage to the armor and introduction of gewehr anti-tank rifle and the K-bullet.
