I enlisted into the US Army in July 2003. By December I was in Baghdad. It was either going to be the Sandbox or The Stan. In truth, I was glad it was Iraq. Growing up in Arizona and Texas made me comfortable with the high heat. My unit was the 70th Engineers, except we mainly did policing duties. Daily patrols in our sector. Meet the public. Guard sites. Cordon and Search Operations with other allowed units, including the Iraqi Civil Defense Corps, the ICDC. Fun times.

Underrated? Maybe it's just the parts of the internet I hang out in, but I'd say they're one of the better known and liked bands in recent years. Sabaton never disappoints me! The war which this song is about ended the reign of a dictator but started a long period of unrest and more wars, which are still ongoing.
