I really like this blog, but as a beginning guitar player I am also interested in the equipment and effects used to get this sort of sound. I personally don't really understand all of the effects on the market (octaver, phaser, pitch shifter, ...) and what they can do to the sound. It would really be cool to have a look at the effects that Thobbe uses, to get more insight in how to generate a cool guitar sound such as his!

In the last part it was just a simple delay effect. But it's all really easy to learn if you just read about it or take lessons. I promise you, if you pay for guitar lessons you won't regret it.

They're volume swells. I've never been able to do them because my volume knob is miles from the strings, but I understand they're not that hard on a Strat.
