Wrong info for green card. Its Not the nationality but country of birth for green card. An Indian citizen born in Dubai having an Indian passport is considered in Dubai pool and not in Indian pool for Green Card.

I applied for master's in both US and Canada in 2010. I was admitted to University of Waterloo in Canada and Texas A&M College Station in US. But Texas A&M gave me admit with 100 % tuition scholarship and GRA. In Canada even if you have research assistantship, you still need to pay something. So I chose US being from middle class family. I moved to Canada later for faster PR. But let me tell you, Canada is not good for tech jobs. If you are mechanical engineer or biomedical enginer in US, you would get job in your field easily. But in Canada, you would end up working at Tim Horton's or some weird non engineering job. Come to Canada only if you are software or embedded engineer, not for aerospace/mechanical/automative/biomedical. If you don't care about whether you drive truck or work in Walmart after becoming mechanical engineer and care only for Canadian passport, then you can come to Canada.

I like to add that the most painful thing about USA is tax on global income which is not the case for a Canadian citizen. Further if you become Canadian citizen in 5 years that is what my daughter got, makes you entitle to live and work permanently.

If you are a US citizen living an working in India, you do not pay income tax to US. It is based on tax treaty between countries. Some of my ex colleagues who are US citizens are working in India on OCI and don't pay tax in US.

Health care is free in Canada. Once you get Canadian citizenship, you can work in USA on TN visa, no limit for visa extension. No Gun culture.

There’s plenty of “gun culture” in Canada but the U.S. is better because people have the right to bear arms and that right is in the U.S. constitution and protected by the Second Amendment!… You can’t also compare the huge diversity of choices, opportunities, the weather, etc. that the U.S. has and Canada lacks!…Most people don’t have the luxury of choosing between these two countries but for the few ones that do, they overwhelmingly choose the USA over Canada for obvious reasons!

Germany for safety great labour law and citizen in 5 years if skilled else 8 years how ever salary are low than in USA however ppp compensate but if Canada and Germany is consider Germany wins in every aspect except for Language ,salary is Germany are way higher than in Canada and also the rent in Canada is more however its partial English speaking country so now you can choose for your self. another reason I dropped us plan and went to Germany was the gun culture , it horrific and also the visa except that ig USA is best in terms of career growth

Practically none. Check out the H1B speciality list every year issued by US govt on their website. They only give H1B visas to specific type of degrees and talent. It's not a free for all visa for any profession.

I am US Citizen and Visited Canada multiple times. i Just want to Cover few points that weren't mention Canada has Higher Taxes than US. Taxes in US are 2/3 to 3/4 of Canada depending on US State. Salaries are also Higher for Skilled Jobs like Healthcare and Tech From My Observation, Quality of Life is Much Higher in Canada than US. Streets are Cleaner, very few Homeless in Canada compare to US. Crime is also very Low in Canada. you can walked in Downtown Toronto at 12 am without any worries, Such things are impossible to do in US Cities. Canada is Good If want to Live your Life with Less Hassle and US is for people who are ready to work hard and have Higher ambition's in Life coz its Land of opportunities
