North West University NSFAS learners stranded

Students at the North West University in Mahikeng who are funded by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme find themselves stranded due to delays in receiving their NSFAS allowances. Students say they are unable to go home at the end of the academic year and are also struggling to buy food and other necessities. Tsholofelo Mogami has more.

Welcome to South Africa a country where by the youth study towards nothing with a high unemployment rate trying to study/work towards ends meat. Once the youth obtains their degrees/Masters/Phds to find themselves studying 3-7 years trying to obtain your degree to get out into this world without opportunities there is no work for the youth. the government has failed us it truly has.

Stop misleading people. This depends vastly on what a person is studying. One cannot studying a course with little to no unemployment rate and expect to get employment. It's a choices most of the students make unconsciously which result in that, hence even NSFAS is suggesting to prioritizing other courses in this sense. We can't blame the country for everything, people should do research and know what they get themselves into
