By far the best report I've seen so far on what's going on in Mozambique. Well done SABC News. You are leading the pack.

well done SABC on contacting Mrs. Paula Roque. Very articulate and eye-opening on currents status quo in Mozambique...even giving similarities to what happened in SA in July 2021. I'm sharing this...

Nowadays, people don't defend what is right; they defend whom they like and benefit from. The problem is that people win before they cast votes,so if the unexpected happens ,they grieve more,,,, Here in our country ,other parties have already claimed a win, so if it contradictory happens, these are the bitter results. Both Chapo and Venancio are not worth ruling. Chapo being Frelimo and Venancio being power hungry; it's best for military to take over.

Your analyst analysis is demented disaster. " ... situation was expected, both sides were going to stick to their positions, Frelimo was never going to leave power peacefully, opposition demands electoral truth", ... All of which is balderdash. Then she goes to military coups and social revolutions (fermented by opposition). These are the issues that demands consideration and thus upon which an objective resolution can only be arrived through. One, were the elections free & fair, did Frelimo win 70% fairly, in the event of rejection of results by any party - what are the processes for intervention, who according to Moz law has authority to intervene. And the preceding appears to be the case. So why the need for a military coup, a social revolution. It's biased lunacy from your analyst.

Sadly the lady seems to be a Mondlane supporter. While I don't know much about Mozambique, what has become clear from the many interviews I've watched is that irregularities in the election are being equated to a Mondlane win, that's being mischievous. While not supporting the liberation movements, we need to start asking ourselves this question; is it a coincidence that the liberation movements have lost credibility around the same time or are there other forces at play? Reason for saying this is that I'm aware that here in South Africa, there was a coordinated effort from the South African oligarchy, possibly with the assistance of foreign intelligence, to remove the ANC. A media heavily infiltrated by the NED led the assault & vasts amounts of money were invested on individuals like Songezo Zibi (connected to the Open Society Foundation) & DA. Individuals like Mondlane, Chamisa, the Zambian president, Maimane & the Botswana and president all seem like projects heavily linked with interests not necessarily looking to benefit their countries. That said, it doesn't justify rigging elections by Frelimo if that's truly what happened. All I'm saying is we need to draw a balance sheet of the political character of these individuals I mentioned & the interests they serve. The liberation movements have failed the region dismally & no one can argue with that, but are these guys the solution & what do they propose that is different?

@PedroCumbane-l8s If you read what I wrote you would know that I don't know who won the elections & haven't made any conclusions on who could be the winner. I was merely commenting on what I was seeing & my own misgivings of Mondlane. I have no idea who won the elections, but the moment they started saying Zimbabweans were bused in to vote, I knew that was a lie & there was something else at play...
