Seriti partners with Entity Blue Mining for its first colliery underground mine

Seriti's Klipspruit mine has teamed up with entity blue mining in opening the company's first colliery underground mine in Mpumalanga.
The coal mine in Ogies was officially opened in 2006 and mined as an Opencast operation over the years but the company has now changed its mining method. It believes going underground will help create jobs and ramp up coal production in a safe manner.
Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy Gwede Mantashe joined workers and officials at the official opening of the Seriti Klipspruit Colliery underground section.
