To this date, there are schools which are exclusive to white Afrikaners learners and it has been achieved by using the language barrier of ensuring that the school teaches all subjects in Afrikaans, rather than having Afrikaans as a subject. This is completely different from black schools, where all subjects are taught in English and then the Home language is rather the main subject. I support the BELA act. Strategic barriers of apartheid and white exclusivity has to come to an end. I’m worried about Cyril as a fluent Afrikaans speaker and lover of such, that he will not understand the this barrier that needs to be brought down.

It is not a matter to be dealt with by a GNU conflict resolution process because it doesn't belong there - it belongs in the past. It should be taken straight to the streets and the courts. If a PUBLIC school insists on using a specific language of instruction that is not English then they need to open a PRIVATE school. The school should be given an opportunity to the to buy or lease the land and buildings from the government. Helen is a liar, all these years during Apartheid and beyond many Coloured schools have been two medium language schools and its never become a single language. These schools are mainly in her province Western Cape. !!! Schools only become single language when the Afrikaans speakers decide to leave the school because they do want to attend school with other races. If all Afrikaans learners leave and only the other language remains then of course it will become a one medium language school. If they want segregated schools all they have to do is build private schools with only Afrikaans as language of learning.
