Has the opportunity passed for the National Assembly to hold the President accountable for the Phala-Phala farm saga? MK Party Leader Dr John Hlophe has written a memoir titled "Defying The Gallows," reflecting on his life and leadership. In the book, Hlophe describes his impeachment, which he considers unconstitutional, as one of the challenges he faced. Known for his brilliance as well as controversies, Hlophe's journey from the judiciary to politics is closely linked to former President Jacob Zuma, who made a surprising comeback in this year's election. Hlophe admits that at one point he considered joining the EFF but ultimately found his place in the MK Party. He asserts that the MK Party will endure beyond Zuma's influence.

Dr Hlophe neh! I think we need more of such interviews so that we can learn about and understand thise in our political and judicial space. He is a sound and sober legal mind and that cannot be thrown to waste. I am glad he is in parliament to contribute even more. I am impressed by this young man, Zungula. He is level headed, well read and articulates his viewpoints very well. It is young people like him who keep the candles of hope for South Africa alive. We need more young people like him to ascend the political landscape for the safety and prosperity of this beautiful country.. I can only wish Dr Hlophe and Zungula well in discharging their responsibilities.

What Dr Hlophe says about the unity of Black parties is spot on. There are differences, disagreements and past conflicts between Julius and Jacob. What is important is that they look beyond their personal differences for the greater unity of Blacks. That's more important. The unity of MKP, EFF, ATM is unstoppable. But sadly both Julius and Jacob don't see that.
