That's so true .. I have reached the same ending. My children are badly damaged ...they associate Islam with the home the lived in and suffered abuse....I will advice to especially mum's run away from pain and suffering...even the man is very affectionate with you...you are doing injustice to your children And giving them unhappy life by living with the man who does not respect and care about you. . .

My father was very abusive and yet my mother choose to stay with him because of social stigma in the Muslim community, with these types of issues. And I just want to say that the abuse has brought me sooooo far away from Islam and it has is still is the biggest challenge getting back my Iman. But I am trying my best. As Salam Aliekom When someone is being abused they must go get help! There can be many reasons for physical, emotional or sexual abuse it is important to get professional help right away, the perpetrator must take responsibility and get help for themselves. If they value their own life and justice they will go get help and leave you alone but that is not going to happen unless you get help for yourself first. Whether the abuser goes for help, counseling is none of your business, your business is getting counseling and support for yourself.
