just to add to the kangjin star part: out of all 28 constellations, kangjin star is the only person who’s willing to come down to the mortal realm to help our protagonist with his task of gathering wukong’s scattered relics. she however encountered yellowbrow during her journey and was manipulated into serving him instead. i loved her character so much and this is pretty fking sad.

I really love the theme of this chapter: validation can lead to greed, anger and delusion. With today’s society and how it’s so focused on validation, you can see how much people crave it through greed (by applying too much ethnic and cultural diversity when it isn’t needed), anger (they cannot handle the argument against their action of over reliance of diversity so they resort to cancelling and sowing seeds of false bigotry) and delusion (the fact they claim so many false narratives and have an ego the size of Mount huaguo).

I think cultural diversity is cool only when it is genuine, but corporations and media are only feigning it for virtual signaling, popularity, and for monetary gain.

regarding ending shortfilm, i saw another really good explanation - which adds on a few key points. human started out as good. thanking the god and erecting temples and devout prayers. governments form and organize proper distribution of wealth - assigning both accountants and guards for this. even when one person was tempted and pulled, guards tried to stop the frenzy, but is overwhelmed by the chaos -- this depicted weakness of man, spread of chaos, and inability to handle extreme human challenges.

Okay, so I think I get it now. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong: I was thinking that one of the lessons learned in chapter 2 conflicted with the fox yaoguai's quest. Simply put, the overall idea is that it's understandable to not trust a yaoguai because of their nature potentially taking over. However, killing one out of fear for the unknown or potential outcome is unnecessary and wrong.

I think there's a lot of potential for improvement in your videos. I know you’re capable of creating something really great. First off, I think the music editing could use a little more attention. There are several instances where the music cuts off or changes abruptly, and it’s quite jarring. It really disrupts the flow of the video and makes it harder to stay immersed in what you’re presenting. Smoother transitions would go a long way in making the videos feel more polished. Another thing I noticed is with the pronunciation of certain terms. For example, it’s “Yellowbrow,” not “Yellowbrows,” and hearing the extra “S” added repeatedly was honestly a bit distracting. It’s a small detail, but it’s important to get these things right, especially when the audience is likely familiar with the lore and will notice mistakes like that. Speaking of pronunciation, I think enunciation is another area to focus on. There were a few moments where your words were mumbled or unclear, and it made it difficult to fully understand what you were saying. Being more deliberate and clear in your delivery would make a huge difference. One thing that really stood out to me was the long pause between “Black Myth... Wukong.” It felt oddly placed and disrupted the pacing of the video. I think tightening moments like that could make your content feel much more professional and engaging.Lastly, and this is probably the biggest point for me, I feel like the lore of this game is incredibly dense and rich, but it seems like you’re speeding through it. Instead of taking the time to delve into the details and really connect with the audience, the explanations feel rushed, almost like you’re just trying to get through them. This is such a fascinating subject, and I think slowing down and really exploring the material could make a world of difference. Right now, it feels a little phoned in, and that’s a shame because there’s so much potential here. Overall, I think your videos have a lot of promise, but they could benefit from a bit more care and attention to these areas. I’m sharing this because I enjoy your content and see the potential for it to be even better. I hope you take this as constructive feedback and keep working to improve.
@Williamsweeb23 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback. I really appreciate comments like this because they help me see what viewers want for improvement. You're right about the abrupt transitions. I have used remixes music theme of the TV series from chapter 5 lore video and will pay more attention to this in future videos to ensure smoother editing. How depth the lore should be include in the videos is something I’ve gone back and forth on a lot. The lore of JTTW is vast, many fan theories among other depictions and not as familiar to many in a Western audience. My current approach is creating short videos under 30 minutes that provide digestible insights into the moral stories and wisdom connecting the game to the novel. Your feedback makes me realize there’s a real opportunity to explore the details more thoroughly in longer video just focus on one aspect at a time, like a video just about yaoguais aspire to become immortality i'm making. Ultimately, I want my videos to resonate with viewers who share a passion for the story and the game, so feedback like yours is invaluable. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts, and I’ll keep working to make my content better! 😊
@ronaldchristian431322 күн бұрын
@@Williamsweeb You're very welcome! I'm glad my feedback could help, and I want to say how much I appreciate the effort you put into your content. It’s clear that you’re passionate about the game and the story, and that passion comes through in the videos you create. The fact that you’re open to feedback and always looking to improve really sets you apart. I love your idea of diving deeper into specific aspects of the lore, like the video you mentioned about yaoguais aspiring to immortality. That sounds absolutely fascinating, and I can’t wait to see how you approach it. I wanted to share a little about how I play this game because I think it might give you some insight into why your videos resonate with me so much. I’ve got a very unique approach-I take my time with every chapter. I just finished Chapter 3, and I mean just finished. While most people I know rushed through the game and beat it long ago, I’ve been pacing myself deliberately. For me, it’s about savoring the experience. I’ve been waiting for this game since it was announced in 2020, and it was my most anticipated release for all those years. So, when it finally came out, I knew I wasn’t going to just rush through it. I wanted to take my time and soak in every detail, every conversation, every cutscene. What I do is play a chapter very slowly-sometimes it takes me weeks to get through one. I record all the important story cutscenes, conversations, and boss fights as I go. But even with all that, I often find myself confused by certain things in the story or the lore. That’s when I turn to KZbin for help, and this is where your videos come in. After finishing a chapter, I start devouring lore videos. I watch as many as I can, often rewatching them to really absorb the details. Then, I go back to the story cutscenes, boss fights, and conversations I recorded and revisit them with all the context I’ve gained from the lore videos. It’s like everything suddenly clicks into place, and it all makes sense. That moment when the pieces come together is so satisfying-it’s honestly one of the most rewarding parts of playing this game for me. It’s a long and slow process, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Taking my time lets me really appreciate the depth of the story and the world, and it feels like I’m giving the game the respect it deserves. The way I see it, I’ve been waiting for this game for years, so why rush through it in a matter of weeks? This approach means that I’m only now finishing Chapter 3, but I feel so much more connected to the story because of it. And your videos have been a huge part of that. They’ve helped me bridge the gaps in my understanding and made me appreciate the lore on a much deeper level. I think you’re doing something really important by making these videos accessible to a Western audience. The lore of JTTW is so vast, and there’s so much depth to explore that a lot of people might not even realize. I love that you’re providing digestible insights while still staying true to the moral stories and wisdom behind the source material. And I totally get the challenge of balancing depth with accessibility-it’s not easy, but you’re doing a fantastic job. That said, I’d definitely love to see some longer videos where you really dive deep into specific topics, like the yaoguais or other fascinating aspects of the lore. For someone like me, who enjoys analyzing and revisiting every detail, those kinds of videos would be a dream. Thank you again for all the hard work you put into your channel. Your content has genuinely made my experience with this game so much richer and more rewarding. I’m excited to see what you come up with next, and I’ll definitely be watching (and probably rewatching) your future videos. Keep up the amazing work-you’re making a real difference for fans like me!

nah, the 1986 tv show is a vital part of it that further explains the story. it’s an essential additional aid when it comes to explaining the game itself. it doesn’t ruin it, and instead adds a visual guide on what happened since it delves into the history of the bosses before they came to be in black myth wukong (which essentially places the game after the main story.)
