The best version of theme, this should have been on the album, thanks so much for the upload (yeah "secret tracks" came free with Mixmag I think, it's been a long long time but damn it still sounds so good). Thanx for the memories my friend! Been listening to old tracks and albums to pass the time through the Corona crisis, this one is so rare, I'd love to own this cassette, still got a Sony Walkman stashed away somewhere, pure retro, thanks again!! 😎

Me too brother, the fact that they didn't release this on Haunted Dancehall is bordering on the criminal! Still, that's why we love KZbin isn't it? Mad props to the uploader!!

Easily the best mix of Theme, I can't believe they didn't include this on the Haunted Dancehall..... "And McGuire stepped inside....."

stasisfoil75 It’s amazing they haven’t released it or even the peel sessions. I’m going to write to Warp when I get home. We should start a petition. Everything sabres did was golden.

@@brianelder9652 yeah I always wondered how they got that metallic sound on the drums, it was so fucking futuristic at the time, then years later I started using Reason software to make my own stuff and accidentally used a flanger on the drum machine. I was like "hey that's sounds like Sabres of Paradise!". I still prefer Sabersonic to Haunted Dancehall although they're both wicked albums.

@@brianelder9652 damn man, were getting old! Where did the time go? Seems like yesterday.... I'm 45 now, this must be over 25 years old and it still sounds like it came from the future!

el-seq [303] Tragic news about Andy Weatherall. Even more of excuse to go sabres mental.

el-seq [303] I saw them live supporting Primal Scream in 94. Days before smart phones so I doubt there’s a video anywhere. It was 3 guys in dark trench coats low slung guitars swaying rhythmically to Wilmot and Tow Truck, bass heavy dub excursions. No audience interaction, all in front of a red stage curtain in a red light. It was intimidating. It was like the last episode of Twin Peaks skanking. Amazing stuff.
