I just wanted to add, I think the song is addressing two people here. I think all the nice parts like saying “maybe we could’ve been friends”/“when we don’t have to dance around it”/“don’t drive yourself insane”/“you don’t have to let it go”, and a few more lyrics are addressing Liv, validating her feelings of heartbreak, and showing an interest for their future, hoping they can be friends. And I think the parts when she says “you can try get under my skin, when he’s under my skin” is addressing the people who giving her constant hate, she puts an emphasis on the “you” , so it’s like directly addressing all of those who were hating on her. I think that lyric in particular wasn’t a jab at Liv, but a jab on the haters.

They are both trying to break her down by making her feel guilty about being with josh even though he broke Olivia’s heart. They both hate that she is happy with josh. Olivia told her side in a song and the fans were also telling their side when they chose Olivia’s side and sent death threats to Sabrina. That’s just how I saw. I think the only for sure part that is me at solely for Olivia fans who hated on Sabrina was the chorus when she said that you can try to get under her skin but she has josh so she is okay. The thing is, Sabrina was receiving hate and death threats for even hanging out with josh, early on. I remember they were spotted at a BLM protest, and her fans literally went IN on Sabrina on her socials. They hated Sabrina for doing nothing. The original lyric was “you’re probably with that brunette girl” and she purposely changed the lyric to fit her narrative. When the song was released, her fans even went more crazy and kept spamming her socials. Olivia didn’t say a word and didn’t tell them to stop. Sabrina had a right to respond and be like sis... I mean. I can see both sides to the argument. I can feel olivias heartbreak, i can. But the fact to the matter is, we don’t know who to believe and what actually happened with Olivia and josh. Many people are calling Sabrina petty but i think she just had enough. Olivias song has been out for almost two weeks and still on her pages were ppl blaming her. While Olivia didn’t provoke her, she knew the consequences that would come when she changed the lyric to “that blonde her”. It’s now making it harder for me to defend Olivia because, who was the brunette girl you were originally talking about? Sabrina got with josh early June i think is when they first began hanging out. Olivia originally wrote the song in early 2020 BEFORE Sabrina and josh. Which means, the girl who Olivia is talking about isn’t really Sabrina. Which means her fan base were attacking Sabrina for NO reason and she didn’t say anything. She knew even before releasing the song, her fan base already hated Sabrina for even hanging out with josh, let alone dating her. For me, it goes back to how Olivia handled the backlash Sabrina got. Sabrina has been quiet for weeks while taking all the hits and blame and Olivia getting praise and whatnot.

We don’t know if this all really happened or if it’s just PR but if it is real, I feel really sorry for all of them cause none of the deserve hate! Josh just moved on, Liv is just in love, and Sabrina started a new relationship. They all made mistakes because they are human beings just like you are. Olivia wrote a single song a day for three months during quarantine which proves that a person can write a song within a short amount of time. As for production, its possible she had the track laid out and was waiting/putting it aside for the write song/lyrics. Assuming that she wrote it almost immediately after the song came out ( i mean it blew up and with it so did the drama), she could have recorded the song in as little as a day or two and the rest of the two weeks could have been for production. I mean, rap artists have diss tracks within days of another.

Hope y’all read this, buuuut DAM this song had me almost choke on my drink when I heard it!! They are both such powerful artist and have AMAZING talent that it doesn’t surprise me the media and shoot probably even the industry is trying to pin them against each other. I can totally relate to BOTH situations Olivas drivers license hits a certain way that had me tearing up when I am over here happily married and ain’t stressing over no one. Her lyrics are so relatable and she’s just a poor young girl who possibly went through her first true heartbeat, everything she sung about she had the right to feel because we all feel with her. It’s not her fault it didn’t work out and it’s not josh fault he found someone else who possibly makes or made him feel a deeper feeling and who knows maybe Sabrina was always his lil celebrity crush...? 🙊 Now as for Sabrina simply being the other girl... his new girl, was getting BASHED for what? Falling for him as well? I don’t think Sabrina meant to come hard on this song but cmon now y’all put yourself in HER shoes she’s living her life with him in it and everyone is constantly being up Olivia in the mix of HER happiness! It’s not her fault that shes happy with him now. What gets me is that Olivia just stood there watching her OWN FANS sending death threats to an innocent girl whose done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to her. I’m not trying to hate on Olivia or anything but the whole situation would’ve been better if she said something & defended Sabrina but she CHOSE not to. Also Olivia was around 15 when she liked Joshua and he was like 18/17 & he didn’t want to date her because she was still a minor and told her to wait until she grows up. After a few years, Olivia grew up and Joshua moved on with Sabrina so Olivia decided to make a song about it where she expresses her feelings towards him. She then literally admits that she still loves him til this day. Imagine if your boyfriend’s not even ex makes a song about him & says that she loves him + kinda shading you, what would you do. To top it all out, Sabrina has been getting constant hate for something that she wasn’t involved in. This was clearly meant to be between Joshua & Olivia but Olivia knew that Sabrina would get hate still she didn’t try to stop it in any way. There are so many interviews of Sabrina & Joshua getting asked questions about the love triangle thing and they look super uncomfortable but no one asked or blamed Olivia, why? Obviously it’s because she’s more famous and people will always blame the ones that aren’t as successful. Plus I hope people stop making the whole “she’s 17” or whatever as an excuse.
