This song I feel like is definitely more towards haters especially those who send her death threats after Olivias song. She says I’m happy and they hate it, I won’t let them get under my skin. While Sabrina is comforting Olivia and saying it will get better with time when the media won’t shove it in our face. So I do think Sabrina took the mature route. Like she had to address it after sooo much hate she got and it was one line in Olivias song that complimented Sabrina if anything but toxic people came at her and blondes in general.

After all, the only view we've gotten into this relationship up till Skin is from Olivia's perspective. Joshua released a song today so everything is still unfolding. The story I understand from Olivia's past songs and the one Joshua released today is that Olivia rejected/broke up with him but then she regretted it. By that time, it seems like Joshua had already moved on which broke Olivia's heart. Of course, this is only what I found from the songs they seem to have written about each other (if you would like to know about the songs and the backstory, I could tell you) However, like you said, these aren't our lives so I probably shouldn't be trying to piece things together lol. personally i don’t think Olivia ever gave hate to Sabrina. “everything i’m insecure about” references sabrina in drivers license and i think that would be considered a compliment. The background story was Joshua and Olivia had a thing for each other but he was older than her and it wasn’t legal so he wrote a song basically saying they should be together and that he’d wait for Olivia to turn 18 which is next month. So time passes and olivia have been waiting but Joshua ends up talking to Sabrina and have been dating since then which broke Olivia heart bc her and Joshua had a really had a strong connection which makes me sad. I wish Sabrina would have never put this song out just yet bc it’s “meant for her haters” but the lyrics and the timing makes her look bad all over again. I love both of them but Olivias song was meant for Joshua while this song seems like its for Olivia and her haters.

We also don't know what happened behind the scenes but I feel like Joshua and Liv already had problems because of a few songs Liv wrote and sang on her Insta before Driver's License. She has written other songs about Sabrina and one of them was fairly shady but as always, we can never be sure if that song was for Sabrina just like we can never be sure of anything in this drama lol. Also, Liv seems to have moved on. She wrote this song a while ago and has since written a song where she describes having a crush on someone. I know she could have just made it up but she seems to be doing better. Joshua also released his new song called Only A Matter of Time and he said the thing that prompted him to write the song was when he started receiving hate in the summer of 2020 which is when Sabrina and Joshua were seen together and Olivia posted Driver's License on Instagram. But I've also heard people say he was accused of assault and he got hate because of that around the same period of time so it could be about that too. Like I said, we'll never know. But if the song is about the hate he got due to Liv writing Driver's License, then it means Liv was the one who left him and then she regretted it. I suggest you listen to the song. Have a good day!
