She was the most deserving of this, but talk about ripping out Ana’s heart at the end of the competition and robbing her of her Olympic podium moment. And then, robbing Chiles of her medal based on lies. And also ripping out Voinea’s heart by giving her a false OOB penalty when she clearly didn’t go out of bounds! You judges are awful! Give ALL 3 ladies the bronze for your F up!

it's not so much the fault of the judges on the day as it is the system. The FIG is overall surprisingly unsophisticated in how it manages processes. The rule is a gymnast has only one minute to lodge an inquiry over the score, but there's no official time clock for the one minute, so for Chiles there was a dispute over whether her inquiry was within one minute. And additionally, if the coach struggles to gain the attention of the judge, then what happens to the one minute? And one minute is extremely tough, especially since the coach and gymnast need time to digest the score and decide whether to lodge and inquiry, which is a double edged sword: as Kara Eaker learned at the 2018 WCs, it could result in the score being further downgraded. And that's just re inquiries about the D score. Voinea inquired about there D score but not about the OOB penalty, which has a different process. And unless a gymnast has seen a replay, how are they supposed to know whether to challenge an OOB decision? It's all a bit nonsense from the FIG

Does anyone know why Sabrina took out the full-twisting straight double back that she did in her opening line in QF? She had a full twisting piked double back in her third line here, but the difficulty went down from 6.2 in QF to 5.9.

her QF routine left her exhausted, and her third pass of double layout punch front was very low and almost a fall. So she probably tried to play it more safe in EF, which is surprising since in EF you'd actually expect her to go for broke. Her QF score of 13.8 would have won the bronze here. If she wanted to conserve energy she should have considered replacing the double tuck at the end with a double wolf spin, which is fairly easy. Relying on D rated leaps with full twists is always risky, it's better to go for other D spins like the double L or double Y, especially if you can connect them into an illusion or double spin to get additional CV and cover up finishing short. Overall, her routine composition wasn't so optimised.

Such horrible form. I don't understand how this gymnast trains 8+ hours per day and her coaches just ignore her flat feet...split legs....poor shapes. .... it's insane.

She's trying to push the tumbling difficulty to her absolute limit, which is risky these days given the E scores are so tough, especially since she just doesn't maintain a great layout form. Laris Iordache made big tumbling look easier back in Euros 2012: her Silivas and whip + triple twist looked so effortless. Whereas Voinea's double layouts look so laboured

Her score should have been 13.800 but a 14.000 would have been appropriate as well. They deducted way too much on her artistry. Also whoever would have put Chiles over this routine should be put in prison !!

Her routine has a high difficulty level, but her jumps and leaps are quite lacking, especially the last switch leap. The angle between her legs is too lacking, not even reaching a 180-degree split, which significantly lowers her execution score.
