I definitely wish they kept Libby around not only for senior year but also as a school rival in college. If Libby had to have a redemption arc though, I don’t think it should have happened until season 6 so that we have at least one season left (season 7) where Sabrina and Libby are unironically friends together.

People talk about if Libby had stuck around she could have been given a redemption arc ... I actually think they could have been a lot more clever about it. Maybe have Libby discover that Sabrina is actually a witch, first in secret, as she tells some of her friends and they don't believe her, in fact maybe they are kind of sick of Libby always attacking Sabrina and distance themselves from her, but Libby sitting on this big secret and tries to use it to manipulate Sabrina into doing things she wants. Eventually, Libby comes out and reveals she knows Sabrina's secret and threatens to expose her, sort of like the mook from Bewitched who did the same thing. Would be interesting if it turns out Libby CAN'T actually expose Sabrina (she can, but it won't work), there has to be some law that is a mortal reveals a witch's identity, said mortal is turned into a crow or a mockingbird (ironic punishment, for squawking a witch's secret the mortal is in turn transformed into a noisy bird other humans will ignore forever) and the witch is barred from the Mortal Plane for 100 years (less a punishment and more a rule until the heat is all). Libby overhears this and realizes she's screwed if she reveals the secret, so it 'seems' like she's learned a lesson, but instead its turned on its head that Libby only doesn't expose Sabrina cause she'd be turned into a bird if she does.

Good ideas but I don’t think Libby would ever have a redemption arc it wasen’t really a thing in the 90s. While I like redemption arcs it shows that sometimes mean girls don’t change in real life
