The paper texture is very smooth and the it cant hold much charcoal that's why charcoal get waste in form of powder. Your artworks are amazing❤❤

Bcoz the smooth paper can't hold that charcoal dust as the surface is too smooth and there is almost no texture or rough surface to hold,,, so after one layer the charcoal overlap on base layer so it can hold on each other to opt darker value😁

Smooth paper didn't have to much texture or some times it is completely plane so it can't bear the charcoal particles that is why after smudging too much charcoal get detaches from the paper so we need to add more layer to achive darker result on smooth paper

Jo paper ka teeth hota hai wo smooth paper mein kam hota hai in comparison rough paper or iske liye smooth paper jada dark value opt nehi kar pata hai .

This is so because smooth paper pe texture nai hota hai jisse powder hold karne nai milta whereas rough paper pe texture hota hai wo powder ko hold karke rakhta hai

Brother paper is very smooth so the friction on the paper is reduced so that's why when we run pencil on paper, it's friction is less and half the powder flies away, but there is a light effect on it

Sir because smooth papers have grains in very less amount. The grains in the rough papers absorb the charcoal but the smooth paper have not the same texture as rough paper (textured paper) and then how can it absorb the charcoal...

Sir , Smooth paper has very low textures so it has ability hold very little charcoal powder and if we add extra charcoal then the paper dissociate it .After adding first layer the paper generates some texture because of pressure we applied on paper while applying first layer, and when we apply second or third layer the paper absorb it. That's all my answer🙂
