Sabudana khichadi is favourite snack to one and all. We generally make khichadi using green chili. But today we are going to give a twist to our recipe that is we will be using red chili powder. Believe me, it tastes just awesome. Do try this khichadi and let me know how much all loved it. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
• 1 cup Sabudana / Sago
• 2 cups Water
• 4 tsp Ghee
• 1 tsp Cumin seeds
• 2~3 tsp Bedgi chili powder
• Boiled, peeled and chopped Potato
• 1 cup Roasted peanut powder
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 tsp Sugar
• Finely chopped Coriander leaves
Method:
• Take sabudana into a bowl and wash it really good with water 2-3
times.
• Try to drain as much starch as possible.
• Add water and soak sabudana for about 30 minutes.
• After 30 minutes drain all the water and cover the bowl.
• Let sabudana rest over night or for at least 7-8 hours.
• Heat up ghee in a pan on medium heat.
• You can use ground nut oil or your regular oil instead of ghee.
• Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
• Add red chili powder, potato, soaked sabudana, roasted peanut
powder, salt and sugar.
• Mix well and fry it on medium heat for about 4-5 minutes.
• Cover and steam the khichadi on medium heat for about 4-5
minutes.
• Open the lid and mix well once.
• Add finely chopped coriander leaves and mix well
• You can skip the coriander leaves if you don’t eat it on fasting
days.
• Mix well and turn off the gas.
• Sabudana khichadi is already.
• Serve it with curd.
• You also can have it with some lemon juice if you don’t want to
have curd.
