I felt soo sorry for Andrea when he was crying in the bath. It was amazing the way "Hello " by Edel helped calm him down. What hotel was hat you stayed in Cork in? You are brave to travel with 4 children during the holidays. My Grandparents lived in Florida and their 3 children who had families of their own alternated going down for Christmas. When we went it was 7 children, a small dog and our 2 parents and it took us about 2.5 days of driving to get from our house near Washington DC down to Coral Gables which is near Miami. It was a lot of fun to get to see all of the family who lived in various places in Florida because we didn’t get to see them very often. Dad’s side of the family had settled there when he was a teenager so he got to see them too. Dad took extra time off work and we got to miss a few extra days of school which was fine when we were little and in primary school. Got harder in the upper grades.

My son used to go so crazy ... then one year i told him that Christmas wasn’t for another week ... the lead up to Christmas was the best his siblings never said a thing .... he went to bed early... slept in Christmas morning.... that was the best Christmas ever 🤦‍♀️😂 but it never worked again but he did learnt to calm down .. thank goodness 😂😂🎄. We actually did throw a fake present into the fire last week. Our son did get coal from st Nicklaus ( dec 6). He wasn’t listening and misbehaving etc for quite a while and we told him that he would get coal. Yes it might be mean but it’s a good learning lesson, that just because it’s a “special “ day doesn’t mean you just get a gift, especially if you have been repeatedly misbehaving.
