The people being negative obviously haven't seen the people she has helped HEAL of cystic acne (like this poor kid has/had). And that kind of thing can take weeks and many sessions. It's not just blackheads, whiteheads, and milia she treats. She also uses all kinds of prep and post care and her endgame is always to get the sac/ingrown hair out if there is one (but that's not always appropriate in a first or 2nd session if it's really deep). Thuy talks to them about nutrition, water intake, proper shaving methods, not picking at scabs or pimples/not squeezing (this is where most of their scarring comes from), and they're often put on antibiotics. She puts them under red LED lights for inflammation, does steam sessions, and uses medicated washes, etc.. She's not just "stabbing and squeezing" like some people accuse Thuy of and it's frustrating. She makes the tiniest cuts along the grain of the skin. Her scalpel only looks big bc it's zoomed in (you'll notice, you can't even see cuts once it's wiped with a cotton pad or medicated wipe), but it's the same size Dr. Sandra Lee - aka Dr. Pimple Popper uses. There's so much we don't get see, but she talks about these things in many of her videos. These are anywhere from 10-45 minute videos of just the extractions. People need to remember that.

@treshamassey80411 ай бұрын
It would be nice if there were “real dermatologists” in Vietnam. Unfortunately, they are extremely few and far between. The GP’s are overloaded and send many “skin problems” to the beauty spas. Soacialized medicine in Vietnam is not the best. Thuy has helped many of the worst cases free of charge and even paid for their medication. A MD from USA went to visit family in Vietnam. He commented that while their methods are different, they often have excellent results.

@@zaniwoob Chloracne is a thing, true. But that's not it. Not in this case. Chloracne has a very specific presentation (see pics on reputable dermatology/medical orgs online for some good examples). It's very tight-knit patches of tiny clusters of rough, red bumps that look almost more like a rash than acne. This young man clearly has naturally VERY oily skin, the type that creates big pores, a lot acne and cysts & pitting over the face and body. It's unfortunately very prone to scarring.😕 It's also likely one or both his parents have the same skin type. I'm sure there are other contributing factors. My heart goes out to this young man, to have so many acne scars at such a young age! (Like being a teenager isn't tough enough!) I hope Thuy Trong & Sac Dep Spa have some other treatments that will help improve the look of his scars over time too, once the acne is under control. At least he's in good hands. ❤️

I wish the person recording would give the clinician just a little guidance here and there. U know they see stuff like we do that the clinician doesn't with her naked eye. Plus some facial washing & moisturizer to balance out that oily skin would make a large difference....I really prefer when she "pops" noticable blackheads & u can see the difference on their skin. As opposed to extracting the really deep ones that a lot of times u can't even tell they are there. But, I'll always watch all her videos, they're my favorite pops. @sharonwells95934 жыл бұрын
Christy Carter, the #11 blade she uses is a disposable carbon steel blade. It doesnt rust that easy nor does it dull that way unless it's a poor manufactured blade or she were to use it to carve bone or stone. Actually blood (or acids) can give carbon steel a patina finish which protects it from rust.

Sharon Wells dried blood on the blade does in actuality make for a dull blade
@christycarter8934 жыл бұрын
@@sharonwells9593 I'm sorry, but my nursing background speaks otherwise. Dried blood on a blade does indeed dull the blade when cutting. It puts a layer in between the blade and the skin. These blades are used sometimes over 30mins to an hour during a session. It also helps stop the spread of infection if the blade is cleaned at least a couple of times with alcohol pads to remove the blood & purulent debris from it.
