Sick of the Rashford hate. The lad wasnt up to his own standards last season but this season his actual effort levels have been very good. GNev and everyone else saying hes poor for not dealing with VDV run is madness, he lost the ball almost in the final third, VDV is allowed to run the entire field unchallenged. He runs past the captain, the destroyer, the RB fails to tuck in and then the new CB fails to block the cross, the GK fails to block the cross. Its a comedy of errors. Rashford tried hard IMO throughout, hes allowed to be frustrated as much as anyone else. At one point he was at CB covering a marauding run forward by De Ligt. At another he tracked back two thirds to make a challenge whilst the whole team were dawdling. I don't understand why we were so passive, i dont understand why the press was so horrendous. Theres something rotten happening between coaches and players. I can only think theres a man management, confidence and communication problem because the players are not doing whats expected. Also Garnacho, good player but against big teams is a massive liability. We missed Amad today for ball retention. To many of the front four take risks willy nilly, he is actually amazing at keeping the ball ticking over.
