We we below 8th in that first year when he joined. The second 8th was 6 points behind 4th after spending no money with Covid. He had a terrible run between Nov-Dec but if you actually paid attention, from January-May we were playing great football and were the 3rd or 4th best team in that league. You ignore all context when comparing to Arteta but by the time Arteta spent the money Eth had, he came 2nd. Why would someone trust a manager that brought in his OWN player for 85m who is no where near the levels of this league.
