ACT OF CONTRITION(To save us from hell and bring us upwards towards heaven) ++ Oh my God, I am heartily sorry for offending Thee because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell but most of all O my God who art all worthy of all my love to confess my sins, do penance and avoid the further ocasions of sin- AMEN.......

In Latin we say Deus meus, ex toto corde penitet me omnia meorum peccatorum, eaque detector, quia peccando non solum penas a Te juste statuta promeritus sum, sed presertim quia offendi Te, summum bonum, ac dignum qui super omnium diligaris. Ideo firmiter pripono, adjuvante gratia Tua, de cetero me non peccaturum peccandique occasiones proximas fugiturum. It roughly is the same as the English version below.
