I'm the oldest of nine kids to grow up on Laurie Way. Our 94 year old mom still lives there. My dad sent me to St. Charles for 2 years because he was afraid to send me to Goethe Junior High School. I went to John Still for 9th grade. All but my baby sister went to Edward Kimble for elementary school. We all graduated from Luther Burbank High. I was out of 6 years in the Navy when my baby sister went to Burbank. I picked her up from softball practice one day. Burbank did not have one usable locker to put books into anymore.

This hood used to be filled with the hmong gangs especially near Susan b anthony. I remember news one time that they accidently killed a mail man thinking it was rivals

Before that it was a black hood Detroit Ave Bloods pretty much the first bloods in the Southside

My mom still lives on Laurie Way, in the same how my mom and dad bought 60 years ago. There isn't a house in that whole neighborhood I haven't either delivered a newspaper too or went trick or treating. That school is the Edward Kemble Annex. Screw that Susan B. Anthony BS. My family is the OG of the Detroit hood. There were 9 kids in my family. Anyone watching this video probably knows my last name.

That area is where I used to live when I was a kid. Ann Arbor way to be exact right down the street from Susan B Anthony!

White boy here and I grew up and went to Susan b Anthony 1st grade until 6th (1981-1986) got into a lot of fights/jumped, I was a easy target. Roughest times as a kid
