@@copy_cat8583 Ah, the old “X happened, therefore Y will happen” theory. Not to be a contrarian, but if the Kings had beaten the Lakers, it obviously would’ve been a monumental win. It would’ve been incredibly emotional (in many ways, their version of an NBA title) and the series was very physically taxing. Throw in the fact that Sac had absolutely zero Finals experience. This would’ve been, in many ways, a spent team. They would’ve been favored, but beating NJ would have been far from a foregone conclusion.

@@geoffoldread7684 What about the Boston Celtics? Had the Sacramento Kings made the 2002 NBA Finals, the Celtics have to be there. That being said, a Lakers-Celtics 2002 NBA Final would've been better.
