DANIEL G , I'm pleased you responded. Yes, the letter J is a recent addition,but the English alphabet is young. I am taking it for granted that you are aware of the fact that the J sound was alive and well in the 1300'S. The English alphabet was still under development at that time.

Nathan Brown Adam, Enoch, Methuselah, Abram, Miriam, Bethel, if you use these names you are speaking ancient Hebrew. In the first edition of the KJV the letter I was used and rightfully so because it transliterate correctly the letters '"yod" (from the Hebrew aleph bet) and "iota" (from the Greek alphabet). There is no letter "j" nor a "j" sound in either of those alphabets. Eusebius points out the fact that the Messiah was called by the same name as that of Moses' general Yahshua, whom many known as Joshua. If you correctly remove the "j" from Joshua you will have Yoshua which is pronounced exactly like YAHshua. The name Jesus is a third or fourth hand translation of the pure Greek name Iesous. Jesus is translated from the Latin Iesus and that is derived from the Greek Iesous. Iesous is derived from Ieso (or Iaso, same name) the greek female idol of healing. The name Jason is also derived from the same name (Ieso/Iaso) and it means healing. The name Jason has also been translated for the Hebrew name Yahshua in ancient times. The evidence for this is the High Priest Yahshua (sadly Yeshua is used as a transliteration of this name but it is also incorrect) who accepted the Hellenist or Grecian way of life, exchanged his Hebrew name for the Greek name Jason (Iason). There are encycopedias and bible dictionaries that will confirm this information. Satan is more clever than people think. Most of the English language is made up of foreign words. The bible itself have plenty of Hebrew and Aramaic words that anyone reading the bible will have to say because there's no substitution given for them. Then there's the media that will feed you with foreign names of people, whether they be kings or presidents, ambassadors, officials, criminals or terrorists and no one makes a fuss about this, but when it comes to the name of the Messiah, who deserves unfathomable more respect and honor than us worms, we have a problem using the name given to Him from His Father. His name is Hebrew and nothing else, His name is Yahshua to save us and no man can change that because Acts4:12 doesn't allow us to.

I saw a portrait of the Messiah/Christ in a Hot Dog ! My BIG BAM theory. Major League Baseball's, Babe Ruth, was well known for loving Hot Dogs, right? It is like the SIGN of Jonah - which Jehoshua Ben-Deker/Dekar (Jesus - Son of Piercings/Wounds) prophesied before his death occurring during the Passover. . . Just as the “Jacob” Decker Hot Dogs were 3 Days & 3 Nights in the belly of the great “Sultan of Swat” i.e. Babe Ruth (and a whale is also a “Sultan of Swat” too with its great tail), even so the Son of Man will be 3 Days & 3 Nights in the heart of the earth. This has come full circle for me. First I saw the Messiah in Crown Prince brand (established 1948) Kipper Snacks (Fish Purification Snacks), used during Yom Kippur or Passover to purify oneself from the effects of sin. Next, I remembered Babe Ruth died in 1948, which lead me to the Decker Hot Dog comparison because I remembered Babe Ruth was considered the Baseball Messiah, and I call Jesus - Jehoshua Ben-Deker/Dekar. But before all of this I saw the Messiah in the concubine of Judges chp 19-21 where Judah went up against Benjamin, sacrificing 40,000 men (of 400,000 i.e. 10%) who drew the sword, to Melchizdek(er) King of Salem, like Abraham gave him 10% tithe. Ben-Deker served on Solomon’s court passing out Hot Dogs during the 2nd month of the year when Baseball season started. At least, I assume this is what happened? I was born in 1959 the year Charlton Heston starred in the movie BEN HUR. My last name is Hansen like the name for the LEPER disease. I was about 5 years old when I saw Ben-Hur for the first time, and I remember well the LEPERS. Charlton also played MOSES in the 10 Commandments. A Passover was celebrated in that movie. Those who watched Babe Ruth bat, and sat in the outfield bleachers, were likely to see the baseball Passover them at least once during the game. REVISED (with Christ in mind). It's easy to prove for yourself. Christ is a Jew/Hebrew, his name is Hebrew Yahshua, if you bring that directly to English and use the J sound it would be Joshua, not jesus.
