Sacred Reich Studio Albums Ranked From Worst to Best

I'm 21 years old, and I was fortunate enough to find this band by looking at some underrated thrash metal bands compilation videos on KZbin. As of right now, State Of Emergency on "The American Way" album is by far my favorite song, the catchy riff, to the funky bass bridge to the thrashy bridge is set up so perfectly. Seeing this video, now I definitely should check out the other albums. Appreciate you Mr Boulder, glad I had this video in my recommended!

I just bought HEAL on tape and saw this video. Cool ranking. I also like HEAL, never really checked it when it was released. I really like there comeback album too. Nice ranking.

Great stuff James, like Sacred Reich…don’t have Independent and what the hell is Heal 😀never heard of it…would have had the same top two but probably would have switched them, 2 great albums so the order wouldn’t matter Excellent stuff Mr. B I’d probably put Surf Nic over them all 🤘

Nice ranking! The debut is my number one as well. I heard a track on the "Stars On Thrash" comp. and bought it right away when it came out. They were not very popular during the "Heal" era, I saw them playing for 30 people on that tour. Great album though.

Great ranking. Ive been listening to them this weekend a lot. I would have Heal higher on my list. That was my intro and first Sacred Reich album so it has some extra meaning for me.

I only bought The American Way a few months back which I quite like but I'm not fussed about getting anymore, if I do Ignorance is the next one I'll look at getting. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Sacred Reich were in my top 4 thrash bands back in the 80s, along with Metallica, Slayer, and Nuclear Assault. I don't know if I'd swap any of the positions or not, but you hit the nail on they head with every opinion you had on each album. I was hesitant getting Awakening too because I found the chorus writing lazy compared to the effort put into the choruses on earlier albums. I hated that ballad "Never Said Goodbye", and the riff in it just sounds like a variation of the riff we've heard before in Smells Like Teen Spirit, or Wild Thing, though I am founder of Crawling then you are. Death Squad probably has the second heaviest opening riff after S.O.D. - March of the S.O.D. How no wrestler has used those riffs for entrance music, that I know of, is beyond me? I also have the 2 Eps they released Surf Nicaragua and A Question. A Question is a great 3 song EP released a year after American Way, with a great title track and a great cover of Fear's Let's Have A War.

I have Surf Nicaragua but not the other EP. Despite the lazy choruses, the latest album is really good. That intro riff to Death Squad is absolutely amazing. Thanks for watching and commenting

Nice ranking James! I've never listened to Sacred Reich, but they're on the list and luckily not a huge discography to get through! The only thing I know about them is Dave McClain played for them before Machine Head, and they're a classic underground Thrash band! Nice one mate 😀🤘

Interesting to hear your thoughts on these Mr B. I wasn't even aware of those mid 90s ones. For me American Way and Surf are my go to for these guys. I wasn't impressed with their latest one, nothing grabbed me when I checked it out, think I'll revisit it again seeing how you talked positively of it. Nice one James.

Mr Boulder, can you hear me? Turn that music down! :D Great video! "The American Way" would be my number one with "Ignorance" being number two. I love both albums, but "American..." was the first one I heard.I do like the fact that a thrash metal band made a song called 'Administrative Decisions'... and making it kinda badass. I quite like "Independent"; I was in a groove-thrash metal band that covered the title track back in the day. Another great release is "Surfing Nicaragua".

I think I tend to agree with a lot of opinions on this ranking but Ignorance would be lower for me. American Way I'd my fave but they aren't s band that get me too excited these days
