Thank you for this beautiful documentary, giving due recognition to a plant which has been vilified (in the USA). I have never quit smoking no matter what the world around me told me... I knew there was something special about tobacco. My body KNEW. I have recently started blessing my smokes, and thanking the plant. FYI: I also recently started smoking inside my home, and have found that it creates a peaceful space. Sage and Palo Santo cannot do what tobacco does inside my "home". (Not chain-smoking, probably no more than once or twice a day if needed, and letting it air out)

Thank you for sharing. Tobacco is a sacred plant. Like all strong plants we should use knowledge, teaching, tradition, as well as intuition to learn how to work with and connect with them. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Hoping to sit with you both in February 🙏 Agree on how martial arts translates to shamanism. The plants will rough you up sometimes but it is for your highest good and you get stronger as long as you are humble and practicing right intention. Thank you for this documentary✨

And I say this because there is a lot of vilifying of tobacco in the world and many people are curious of how and when to actually use it and the history of it.
@UniverseWithin
@UniverseWithin 6 ай бұрын
The documentary is about tobacco. About working with it experientially with someone who works with tobacco. The dieta is a traditional process where one does just that, learns directly about a plant, in this case tobacco. Trees can also be leaned from, and one of the most powerful ways of doing that is working with them via the medium of tobacco. Which is what the documentary is about. It’s a big subject with a lot to learn so a 22 minute documentary can only go into some detail. Maybe one day we can expand to a longer documentary. Best

Noooo… that’s commercial cigarettes. 😂 Sacred tobacco is not inhaled. It is not addictive, and quite the opposite, it heals. Tobacco is a powerful carrier of intention. Why do you think westerners get cancer and shamans who have been drinking and working with tobacco since they were children do not? It’s because they cultivate the plant by hand, dry it in the air, and pack it with good intention from the beginning. It’s because it is respected and used for good. Commercial cigarettes are processed, hold the intention of keeping people addicted and making money. And they’re inhaled. They’re smoked by people who already are not in a good place. Sacred tobacco is not the same. No one goes to the jungle to drink tobacco hoping they will get addicted to it. They drink to learn. To build a relationship with the intelligence of the plant. This is far from the truth. But any plant, food, drink, can be addictive and cancer causing if used in the wrong way. That is not specific to tobacco. Everything is either a medicine or a poison. I encourage you to do some research, there are plenty of books about it.

@@TheWaveSon Not according to Harvard. They published a study on nicotine in 2015. From their findings, of no addiction, they then went through every research paper published by the tobacco industry. Millions of pages. They found that if you mix the substance pyrazines with tobacco, it will cause addiction. Since nicotine is not addictive, the tobacco industry had found a way to get you hooked anyway. Quite profitable.
