Unbound has really poor balancing imo. Not in a level sense, but in a pokemon sense. The enemy trainers tend to have much more powerful pokemon than anything you have access to for a very long time in the the first 3rd of the game, and your access to interesting TMs and movepools is ABYSMAL. Besides those problems i have my own little pet peeve of the gym gimmicks. I just dont like them. They dont make the battles overwhelmingly difficult, or crazy weird or anything, but they do theow off the feeling of a fair fight. It doesnt feel as much like a competition when one side has a clear advantage. It throws the vibes off for me is what im saying. I know some people like that, but foe me it takes away from the feeling of competition.

yes and no, you can choose the dificulty of it. normal is Reborn difficulty. insane is just.. insane and Casual is easier.. but not too easy. on some battles you will struggle, but not that painfully.. except Souta

I played rejuvenation and got to the 8th badge completing the version, now the game is bigger but I couldn't upgrade my version and it was so difficult to get that far that I was not willing to play it all over again in the new version, still the game is amazing with plenty of side quests.
