This album was very criticized when released by Kiske fans and old fans BUT Andi Deris deserved a Keeper album for his career inside Helloween. So, this masterpiece IS certainly a Keeper - THE DERIS'S KEEPER.

I've known Helloween since 2005 and always loved Guardians, I've played hundreds of times, but I discovered this song in 2022. To listen the line "a puppet on a string" almost killed me, whan an incredible thrill! It closed a cycle started with the Guardians finale started so many years ago.

This is a masterpiece and beyond the great music and vocals, the lyrics are something! There are legends that tell us about the king of 1000 years and the keys of the 7 hells and that is why I love Halloween, they tell stories and legends and they do it in an epic way!

Almost forgot about this masterpiece, it's crazy how long Helloween had been releasing top tier power metal with or without Kai and Kiske. Such an underrated album. I suppose that maybe this album had such high standards when it came out that it would have been impossible to live up to but for me when I bought this album I had just discovered Helloween so maybe that helped me appreciate it immediately because all of the albums that came out after it received a lot more praise but in my opinion are not as good as this one.

With the long view in mind, 1000 years really isnt that much time at all. Imagine if we unlock the "immortality" gene within our lifetimes. With CRISPR we can wipe out diseases and remove our limitations at will. Be the masters of our own destinies so to speak. More likely is we'd end up with secretly immortal dictators ruling from the shadows while the rest of us were left to die at the young age of 100

Andi Deris have really grown into me over the years, and Andi have never ruined Helloween like Michael Kiske when he did with his pop/rock There was a good reason for firing Kiske.
