Hello my friends!
Here i am again with a new cleaning video, i made it extra long for you!
In this video i show you some actual cleaning, and some of the items displayed in my room!
It's so exciting to search for small items that are still hidden... we found some really cool stuff.. but some of it is really personal, sad and disturbing..
from the bottom of my heart, i have the deepest respect for all soldiers who died in WWII.. on both sides!
Yes, it is horrible what the Germans did in WW2, and i don't support that in any way.. but i care about the young and brave soldiers who fought for their country!
A lot of German soldiers didn't know the evil stuff that was going on, and most of them had no choice but to join the army!
Yes, there were a lot of really bad soldiers.. but we remember the old.. the young.. all soldiers who weren't evil.. and there were a lot of them too!
Don't forget, they were all human!!
INFO ABOUT THE FINDS - DOG TAGS:
The items were found in a dump hole made by U.S. soldiers.
They stripped deceased German soldiers, and dumped all their stuff in a big hole.
The original owners of the items are all resting in peace, and the items are handled with respect.
Finds like these are important, Historical items such as these must be preserved.
We can't just let them rot away.. the items are in good hands, and will never be sold!
We don't care about money, we care about History, and the brave soldiers who fought and died in WWII.
We pay our respects to preserve their stories, and the items they left behind!
Rest in peace, all soldiers who died in WW2!
Why do the dog tags look like U.S. tags?
The dog tags found in the videos are U.S. dog tags made by U.S. soldiers for deceased German soldiers.
These tags were made by the GRS ( Grave Registration Service ) and were used on temporary grave markers.
What i found is a medical waste dump pit with equipment of KIA German soldiers.
These tags are extremely rare to find!

Those helmets were manufactured for young men mostly between the ages of 18-27. They lived with the helmets, ate with them, Talked to their friends with them, Shot with them, slept with them, died with them, were burned and buried with them. They had a loving family, a Mother, Girlfriend/Wife waiting for them Yet they never came back. We shall never forget.

@@Ronnie-Jones I totally respect this, but also admit that a lot of German troops did not know completely what was going on. Yes, they got carried away in the hubris of hatred, many obviously were brainwashed even as far as being part of the Hitler youth, but I afford some respect to the troops. Take a look at someone like Erwin Rommel, the famed German field marshal. He probably never once broke a single rule of the Geneva conventions. He even buried the dead of enemies. Not saying he was a Saint, but his "integrity within war" does deserve some praise. I think there were probably a lot more like him. Yes, nothing can ever hide the real agenda of the Nazis, but I still believe the German troops were no different than ours other than they were pawns of an evil state. Our own troops have been used for nefarious things in the past, obviously not on the scale of the holocaust. The idea of my comment is I almost always draw my ire at the fools that get us into war, not the kids who are fighting it.

@@kevinw8688 There were never any “Nazis” they were National Socialists. “Nazi” was a political epithet created in the 1920s by Konrad Heiden, a Marxist Jew journalist, to ridicule the National Socialists in Germany. He was a member of the opposition party: the Socialist Democratic Party. Hitler made many peace proposals and offered to reduce armaments. After Versailles Germany’s army was reduced to 100,000 while her neighbors were arming to the teeth. One fourth of the population was torn away from Germany and handed over to a foreign power while two enemies were artificially created namely, Poland and Czechoslovakia. In May 1933, a few months after Hitler came to power, he appealed to sanity during his speech at the Reichstag saying that Germany would agree to disband her entire military if her neighbors would do the same. He was completely ignored and the newly created League of Nations declared that Germany must pass through a period of probation before discussing the disarmament of her neighbors. In response Hitler broke away from the League of Nations in October 1933 and made another proposal for peace in December 1933 where the fully armed states that surrounded Germany would freeze their arms at current levels with an agreement to ban certain weapons used against civilian populations. France, Britain and Russia totally ignored these proposals and continued building up their arsenals. This forced Hitler to reintroduce conscription. Then in May 1935 Hitler made a speech regarding the elimination of destructive armaments that cause collateral damage with the gradual abolition of weapons and methods of warfare which were contrary to the Geneva Convention. He proposed the gradual decrease of artillery, tanks, battleships, cruisers and torpedo boats with the eventual elimination of submarines and a complete international ban on all bombing. France’s response to these repeated proposals was to ally itself with communist Russians thus putting tremendous pressure on Germany from all sides. Finally on March 3, 1936 Germany occupied the Rhineland, which was unsecured since Versailles, closing a wide path through which Germany’s western neighbors could launch an invasion. Then on March 31, 1936 Hitler formulated another peace plan where non-aggression pacts were to be signed within 4 months and Germany would not add reinforcements to the troops in the Rhineland. There would be a commission composed of the two guarantors: Britain and Italy, and a third neutral power to guarantee commitment to the non-aggression pact between Germany and its neighbors. Germany would also re-enter the League of Nations if they would abolish the covenant it was founded upon at Versailles. There would be the setting up of an International Court of Arbitration, an end to the unlimited competition in armaments, the prohibition of dropping gas and poisonous bombs on open towns and villages, the prohibition of long range bombing on towns more than 20 km from the battle zone and a prohibition of the construction of heavy tanks and artillery of the heaviest caliber. Britain’s response to yet another proposal was to become the protector of France and institute regular military meetings with the French just as it did before the Great War (WWI).

I have relatives that were killed in the Holocaust. I have been realizing that I have grown up thinking all Germans in WWII hated Jews and wanted to kill them - but I've been seeking out videos and information that humanizes Germans from that time. I understand now that many of these soldiers did not have a choice, or they didn't know what was truly happening, or they were brainwashed by the evil that ran their country. Seeing those helmets broke my heart. Those boys were each their mothers' precious babies. I will forever hate war and how it makes us forget that we are all human beings. I definitely agree. I think it also didn't help that us humans like the status quo. we like being comfortable, and being safe. and standing up against the regime, or showing displeasure to their actions, was endangering the status quo. While i think that many people probably weren't sure about what happened to their jewish neighbours. They most likely guessed what happened (not in detail, but that it ended in death), but chose to be silent out of fear that their families would dissapear as well. I grew up in a town where a famous theologan was imprisoned because he vocally disagreed with what was happening. he was later executed. The same mindset of "lets just ignore what happens to the neighbours" can be seen all around the world even today. So it is easy to understand how the general population back in the day, could have been easily brainwashed to act as they did.

A german soilder, according to my great grandmother(she was russian), gave her a box of their ration crackers when she was caught trying to steal them because she was very hungry...Im not sure if she kept any other details to herself...i was 5 and she was 93 back in 1991 but i still remember this. Also i remember asking her if she would like to relive her life if she had been given the chance - and she answered with a definitive NO. If things were to go other direction that day in 1943 i probably wouldn't write this here...

Your comment about how "Not all German soldiers were bad." hit weirdly close to home. On my mom's side, my Great Grandpa was forced into the draft and suffered dehabilitating PTSD after the war. He refused to talk about it and died far before I was born. I find it so hard to believe that when they portray German soldiers during WW2 that they were all malicious, racist, and regarded H-tler as some sort of god. That we should feel proud that German soldiers were starving by the war's end. I want to be able to proudly say my Great Grandfather was drafted into the second World War. He may have not fought for H-tler, or even his country. I believe he fought for his family. He was a hero for surviving, though history may never regard him as such. As you said, every dog tag was a person, someone's child. I don't know how to wrap this up so.. I hope you have a wonderful day, and best of luck on your search for more relics!

My wife's grandfather was an Austrian who was drafted during WW2 and became a POW prison guard because he was already an older guy with 5 kids. My Grandfather moved to the US in the 1920s. Some of his brothers and sisters came along, some stayed back in Germany. In 1942 one of his younger brothers was drafted and sent to Russia. He was 33 years old and didn't want to be in the Army: he had no business going to war at his age but it wasn't his idea at all. He left behind a wife and two sons . Not very long after he was sent to Russia, he disappeared and to this day nobody has any idea what happened to him. Last December I went there to experience German Christmas with my family there, One day we went to the cemetery . On my great grandparents headstone there is a memorial to their lost son.

Up until today I had never seen a video like this. When I was much younger I would listen to my grandfather's very few stories about his time in world war 2. He was an RAF engineer/Mechanic. He would build Hurricanes and Spitfires from crates. We still have his dogtag, it's leather, because metal reflects the sun, not what you'd want in wartime, but then again, when you're serving in Egypt I doubt that would have made a tremendous amount of difference. As a child I was always sort of biased towards learning about one side of the story. But then I learned my grandma, an English teacher, had a German boyfriend before the war broke out, shortly after the Berlin Exhibition of 1939 - for which there is a badge that she had acquired. Going further back, I remember a school childhood crush of mine had a relative who was in the German Wehrmacht. To me, when I was younger, I found things like these always fascinating. But to see a video like this is even more interesting in some respects. A very interesting video, I shall have to backtrack and watch the first part.

When I was 12 we went for a 4 days holiday to the Sauerland in Germany in 1976. My father mother brother and I. Was a huge adventure/happening for a working class family from Holland. What a fantastic days. It was in a 'Zimmer frei' apartment on a farm in Gummersbach. Playing around in a barn I saw an old shovel in the corner, made out of an old wooden stalk attached to a partly broken rotten affected rusty German helmet. I asked my father to come along and look at it. He asked the old farmer if we could have it and he gave the rusty helmet for free. At home again, my father took the helmet to his work and a welder repaired it. After that it was 'powder coated' (burn powder in it) in black. Still have the helmet but lost my hard working loving care taking father in 2000. You know, he was deported from Holland to Germany in 1942 and worked as a slave in a.o. Halle Birkhahn. The existence of those camps had to be exposed by hard working skilled righteous 'amateur historians' around 2005. The GDR regime also denied it because many production lines were shipped to the USSR, so they could later show off with good products in Soviet propaganda. Never told me much about those for him horrible years. Never saw any recognition let alone a penny. He never lost any bad words about the Germans and wasn't filled with feelings of revenge or envy. But you all know how that goes in the crooked claim industry, where many that even never were in a concentration camp get the main price for the sake of an increasingly oppressing corrupt industry. Rest in peace dad. Rest in peace soldier who wore the helmet. God bless.

This World is ADDICTED to lies and propaganda. It is all most people even know. It is all they WANT to know. Also, I don't especially care for these people who go dig all these war relics up. Most of them, especially these "Westerners", shall we say, come across as nothing but grave robbers, vultures, and parasites... Just like the ones who engineer all these useless wars. This guy is so enthralled with this disgusting "hobby" that he cannot even shut his mouth for five seconds. It actually makes me nauseous to watch (and listen). @@ZuNk Yes many catholic priests were targeted. Hitler envisioned a "state religion", although one would have trouble defining just what that would have looked like. Many Catholics spoke out against the atrocities and Hitler didn't want any dissent. As far as your question I am thinking there were plenty of German Catholics who served in the war and I don't think they at all hid their faith, though they probably were very quiet once an SS member came around. It is well documented that nations fighting against Germany would NOT allow German dead to be buried with Crosses marking the head stones. I tend to separate the soldiers in Germany from the fanatical maniacs of the SS. Like most wars, they were mostly kids enlisted to "defend" their nation. The troops are pawns of the state. I've read/listened to tons of interviews with German soldiers and there is a ton of evidence to support the view that those guys did not know what was really going on. Yes, I can muster up Hate for people like Hitler, Goebbels, Eichmann and others, but I hold no hate for the German soldier, who was a lot like our own soldiers...just a young kid trying to survive and get home to his girl.

Not every German soldier was fighting for "The Final Solution", most didn't know it existed. Yes turns out there were fighting for evil, but you can see here in the USA how easy it is to be lead into wars by continuously telling the people they are under attack or our way of life is at stake. Also versaille was already made that unfair... that there were 2 options: poor farmer europe, working for the west. Or break the rules of versaille (just said, the allied forces never did what they set up in versaille like demilitarization, so they broke it first at all) yes germany did some bad things... but most of it was a reaction from: - world financial system - oppression by versaille - threats from UK, FR and poland - polands racism against anyone else around them

In 1975 i bought from a local collector in Spa, just a few kilometers from La Gleize (Belgian Ardennes), a German helmet that supposedly had been kept in the attic of a house near La Gleize since 1944. Though I have no proof I have no reason to doubt the origin of this helmet. It was still in perfect condition (in and out) and still partly covered by a white winter camouflage. My mother who was dusting my bedroom once a week was using a gentil dust-cloth... but also a chemical spray ! After one year I noticed to my horror that progressively it had removed the whitish winter camouflage of the helmet... probably lowering the value of it 😮 ! I still have that German helmet somewhere in a storage and plan to auction it... maybe in 2024 for the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. I have no idea how much it is worth today.

@@theselfishangryguy1946 I know the Nazis were committing the atrocities in secret away from the eyes of the German population. The Germans probably believed the Jews were just being taken somewhere to live outside of Germany and didn't know about the Holocaust. Greetings from Colorado, this is a remarkable collection of finds. In my spare time i restore classic motorcycles and I use a product on the gas tanks called Metal rescue that removes all the rust and is non- toxic, that can be used over and and can be poured down the drain when it stops being effective. It would be perfect for the helmets.

For anyone that hasn’t seen it; Generation War. I cannot recommend highly enough, it’s a three part series that follows five German friends, two of whom were brothers fighting on the eastern front. It’s a dramatized story set during the war, don’t go looking for historical accuracy but being people of modernity it is very rare to see a movie/series that shows the war from the German point of view, especially for someone like me in America. But if ever you have the chance, do watch it and try to get that perspective. It’s worth while to remember. Oh, also, one of those German friends was a Jewish German citizen who’s girlfriend slept with a German officer to get him a ticket out of Germany (again, dramatic fiction) but the thought that that may have been possible is very sad. Do yourself a favor and try to find it. Great work man. Thank you for sharing!

This is the kind of history I absolute adore. The personal history of individuals caught up in big events. When I was in Pompeii, in one of the houses, I saw a small shrine of local household Gods. The statutes were degraded but you could still see the incense that the person living in the house had put in the shrine. And it was just so poignant. To imagine that as the city was literally on fire around them, that perhaps someone went to seek solace in a higher power. I still wonder, when the incense was lit and prayers were being said at the shrine, what were they praying for? Salvation from the calamity that was about to happen? Mercy from the Gods in the hereafter? A quick and painless death? It was just such a human thing. Too many people focus on the history of great kings and mighty leaders battling for dominion on the world. It's easy to forget that all those great plots and battle plans and strategems and moments throughout history may have been thought up by or recorded by great men and women, but they were executed by, lived through by ordinary people. Ordinary people with stories of their own.
