The series originally cast actor Song Seung-heon to play the character Gun-woo. Song had already filmed several scenes overseas and recorded songs for the soundtrack, when a draft-dodging scandal involving him broke out, causing him to enlist in the military service. On short notice, Yeon Jung-hoon was selected as his replacement.

Whoa there's also movie entitled Sad Love Story? Starring my 2 fave Korean actors Kwan Sang Woo & Song Seung Heun . I just finished a drama series with the same title but there's another actor not SSH... don't know his name. Same actress and back ground music also this song... i've seen all the episodes but stop few minutes before the ending, don't wanna know the SAD ending :D Bravo Song Seung Heun you sang this beautiful song. It took me one week looking for it on youtube, didn't get the title immediately because mostly music videos of Korean artists are written in Korean Language. And i thought it was sang by a famous balladeer... astonished & all praises to you... you're multi-talented aside from sexy body just like Kwan Sang Woo

yes this is the same series, but in the filming Song seung Heon was enlisted in the army so he needed to leave. they then hired a different actor and made some changes in the story.
