king Danny not all parents, that’s completely unfair. I understand that your parents aren’t, but that doesn’t mean others aren’t also. My 11 year old cousin just came out and my aunt 100% accepted her, my mom doesn’t use pronouns when speaking to me about relationships, I have multiple friends who are lgbt and so proud of it because their parents don’t think of it as being different, they think of it as nothing, just that, “oh, you like boys, alright.” I’m really sorry that you don’t have supportive parents, you just don’t get to pin it on every parent.

A few months ago my mom saw the cuts on my arm. She asked me why and then when I started crying she said, "are you gay?" I just nodded my head and cried for a good half hour. I thought she would be accepting since she started joking about it and saying things like, "so that's why you weren't telling me who you had crushes on!" I should have known better than to think my parents would accept me. They started praying over me and reading the Bible to me and making me go to a Christian therapist to "fix me" at this point I've had enough and I told my parents I have a crush on someone in my church group. They were so happy since now I can "procreate" and do gods work. I have to lie everyday about how I feel and it makes me feel sick. my parents will never accept me

Ik I’m a little late considering this was written a year ago, and I hope things have changed in the past 12 months, but if not, I want you to know, that regardless of how your family feels now, things will change eventually, and until then, you have the support of the 1000s of people just like you, and 1000s more who understand that you should have no reason to be afraid of who you are. And who you like does not affect that. Everything will be okay. Take care.

I'm personally finally accepting that I'm gay. I've been so sad ..... Update: I'm actually bisexual. Another update: Im gay.... Like really gay......I like guys but just not like THAT. Accepting that doesn't make me sad, I'm not sad anymore. Saying Im was GAY just fells so normal which is why I was sad. Saying I'm bisexual feels so wrong because I know me better than anyone. I've never romantically been invested into any guy and although I'm not ready to tell everyone, it feels good not to be at war with myself. update: im bisexual...... why is self acceptance so hard?

Girl, the more you think about what you are the less likely you are to be happy. I tried to label myself for so long with things that didn't feel right, I knew I wasn't gay, I thought I was Bi but then I didn't. I was so obsessed with trying to figure out what I was I got angry at myself for being so confused. I read articles about it not mattering but I had it in my head like "I HAVE TO KNOW! " until one day I was too exhausted to care. I was like, "you know what? I'm not all straight, I'm not all gay and that is totally okay." If you feel like you need a label that's fine, but don't stress about it too much, just take your time in exploring who you are and what you're into, there is absolutely NO RUSH! take care xoxo.

Mickey coming out was the most shocking yet beautiful thing for me at that time (still is tbh) because I knew how hard it was for him to do that. He did it because he didn’t want the guy he loved to leave. He was brought up by a person who hated gays and he had to hide being gay at all times. The shit his dad put him through was unbelievable so for him to be able to come out infront of everyone, including his dad, was honestly amazing. Ian and Mickey complete each other🖤

The fact that straight people will never know what it’s like to feel your heart is about to rip out of your chest cause your about to let people know who you truly are... and it doesn’t stop there you go your whole life knowing you are different and from time to times you start hating your self for being different. To all heterosexual people out in the world we do not choose to feel alienated we want the same normalcy as a heterosexual man or woman

Love is the best thing humans do. It redeems us even when our collective acts of cruelty seem unforgivable. Love promises that the good in us shines brighter than any darkness we must overcome. To deny love in any form is to deny our humanity. To deny our soul. Our purpose. So even when you're confused or afraid or sad, believe that love is the way forward
