9/10 series, whats so good about this series in comparison to the others in its genre? Are the characters more mature or was it a totally awesome storyline

Well it's about your personal taste I think. Kobato has a special atmosphere that makes this anime so warm but at the same time so dramatic. It likes 'Nakige'. After all this is CLAMP. If you watch Chobits you will understand many little things haha :D May be this anime idealized a bit(Kobato's nature). But OP and OST are just great :)
