Whereas the idols used to be at the bottom of the entertainment hierarchy, BIG BANG especially GD, has helped elevated that status and they were taken seriously and seen as artist now. He also helped bring the fashion house like Chanel to South Korea by introducing avant-garde fashion, airport fashion and street wear as trendy. He covered a medley of BIGBANG songs in addition to his own latest release. In fact TAEYANG was on stage with him, and GDRAGON was there, too - supporting his brothers. TOP wearing the rabbit mask on the moon references the Korean folktale about a rabbit that sacrificed itself for the king and now lives for eternity on the moon, pounding rice cakes. It's the same folktale that's referenced at the end of their music video for Bae Bae, where they end up on the moon with their partners (representing the afterlife). If you know about T.O.P's story, then you know he did come very close to sacrificing everything.

Still Life has such a bittersweet feeling...At first i couldn't listen to it because i was crying from the first moment.. I feel like Still Life is a gift for VIPs (just like "Flower Road" they released before military service), they're saying that they're starting new, focusing on their solo career and solo paths, it's a new chapter in their life, they're saying thank you for all the memories together, for the success and experiences, they are grown now just like VIPs, we grew up together... but they'll continue to create music and experiment with it... You watched this mv at the right time for you and could feel the emotion. It was good hearing your reaction and the feelings and thoughts that it brought about in you. For many that have followed them a long time, through joys and pain - especially from 2017 onwards - it emotes a real intensity of feeling. The video communicates so much in addition to the lyrics, lines and music. 3 members haven't officially left BIGBANG. Diehards like me still hope for something more from them as a group at some point ( no matter how unlikely it seems now) because they are so good . It’s really one of the songs from BigBang that will hit you really hard, maybe because of the current situation they are in and at that time when the song was released gives us (VIP) a bit of hope that they will still be or we will still be seeing them perform together as a group knowing the circumstances they faced that time… still life was a timely song that tells us no matter where they are in the fact that they are yearning and loving us (VIP) is never ending. I may say that among all songs of BigBang “still life” is i often listen because it really hit me real hard… but definitely love it to the core. Maybe because I’m missing them so badly
