@ saddick Adams, we all know Laryea has been a good and honestly very good player but this same emotions has been his problem. As a player he played very well but always let the emotions take over . We all know in this game of football when too much emotions are involved while we disregard the technical aspects isn’t gonna be possible. You have to be good technically and being good technically takes care of the emotions. Discipline is key. You can’t change a narrative if you’re not ready to endure what is making that narrative be in existence and it’s not easy. Can we agree that he failed since he couldn’t change the narrative he’s spent money on himself to change because personally I am hoping he comes back stronger to change it cos he can. I think his resignation is pre matured....I like Laryea Kingston as a player and enjoyed his coaching prowess. I beg to disagree with Sadick Adams over the red card that led to Laryea missing the world Cup 2006. Laryea Kingston invited the red card for himself. He wanted the referee to send off the Senegalese player and theatrically throwing himself to the floor unnecessarily holding his face as if the Senegalese player head butted him. The referee had no option but to send him off for trying to deceive him. However, the GFA could have selected him to feature in the world cup since we were guaranteed 3 matches at the group stage. He could have played the last group match against Brazil.

Decades ago, i held a role of helping gathering a team of ticket sellers on behalf of Sports bodies. Mostly, ladies were selected from K-Poly, Collegiate, UST, and other institutions. A few times i was involved in similar roles - when tournaments/games were held in Accra. I was privileged to gather some information: some FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE. From the Odartey Lampteys to the Dan Addos to the Awudu Issakas, the Duahs, Famiyehs, etc etc, Ghana could have really had a STRONGER, LARGER representation in Europe and elsewhere. There were many players i knew, personally, around the Zongos alone, who probably played better than Ronaldo and Messi. Sadly, WE'VE NEVER HAD GOOD MANAGERS. Player Management is poor; coaches are not allowed to build teams. Too many Management problems/influence. Apart from Sam Ardy's Multi-system (remember? that ALL GO, ALL COME style), lack of Proper Management has been our major problem. I pray the Otto Addo would have some freedom in his SECOND COMING stint with the Black Stars.
@SIRNUNOO-ej6gw7 ай бұрын
IMPOSITION. This has been our problem for DECADES. Man, you're trying but your explanation has been too long. Ghana, as a soccer nation, should NEVER struggle to come up with GREAT SQUADS, tournament after tournament. From Mamprobi to Labadi; Ash Town to Asafo, Aboabo to Tafo, Eweland, the Northern Regions, Central, Western, etc - I CAN TELL YOU THAT WE COULD HAVE VERY STRONG, EFFECTIVE teams to represent Ghana. Somebody needs to STAND UP AND FIGHT THE ESTABLISHMENT. Imposition. Too much influence. Just too much. Y'all need to get rid of those jokers.

Laryea, like most of our coaches, is a BIG part of the problem. They resign and are not bold enough to tell us the real/exact reason, leaving people like u to speculate.
